Newgirl to RIU WOULD LOVE TO GET STARTED ON MY JOURNAL

Imo, unless you build the led lights yourself with the proper spectrum, or spend a ton of money for the right led, a 1000w hps with aircool hood with a 400cfm fan will blow led out of the water. To put it simple, I moved and bought new equipment . I spent 140$ on an air-cooled hps with new hortilux eye bulb on Craigslist. You can get a lb easy with a shit load of screw ups with a 1000w hps. You can't with a cheap led, no way in hell. Good luck to you, you will do well. :hump:

I'm sure two will work for your area!! They are decent leds but the drivers and fans come from china.. the housing case and heat sinks are also imported from china then it's assembled in the usa... seems like one of the better lower quality leds on the market!

Agreed. even a 400 has respectable yields. I think a beginner can get around .3 to .5 GPW I think the OP has some limits on power, and heat.
The rest of the plant matter can be converted into hash, or oil/solvent extraction.

I tried some of the previous generation of LED's I'm still waiting.. I think in a few years I'll be ready.

400w is more efficient ( if im remembering the numbers i read ...ive smoked and slept since then) .... but i believe the consumption to output ratio is the highest out of the HPS's but it lacks the penetration of the bigger bulbs
 
The small tent is a 2x4 with a 400w hps and the bigger tent is a 5x5 with a 1000w. Everything was vegged with cheap $20 32w floros. If people keep it simple and use what is proven to work, with a little bit of know how, you can yield plenty to smoke with friends and family for months with one grow

The 1000w room yielded 17 Oz of bud and a few more Oz of popcorn buds

The 400w room yielded 8 Oz of bud and a couple of of popcorn.

but did the pics look like i put 400 watts in it? how long ago were those posts? the posts were about which one to choose, not which one i bought. lmao, i get better advice from hydro shops. i guess theres a reason you signed up too.

What you need is at least a couple 1000 watt HPS. If not...Whats the point.
