after shooting the unarmed man for complying, they handcuffed him, took him to a hospital, handcuffed him to his bed, and forgot about him until midnight, leaving him handcuffed the whole time.

I heard about this, but hadn't seen it till now. This is just absolutely horrible.

From what I can tell, this cop belongs in prison.

Is he really quoted as saying that or is that just your normal, retarded supposition? In the video, he claims it was because he dove back into the car. Cite it.

This story is already bad enough without the propaganda. Are you saying EMT's and hospital staff are in on this by refusing to treat him until after midnight?

Handcuffs don't surprise me one bit though. That's usually what they do. Not doing so would pretty much indicate that they understand they shot somebody who was no threat at all.

Trooper was fired, then charged with s fairly high crime, forget the exact words, but still. I hate to drive anywhere now, got my wallet out at all times so I don't get shot. That is the fucking normal.

Yeah, I don't see this cop returning to work at all.

My strategy is to do absolutely nothing. I've only been pulled over a couple of times, but in all cases I just sat there with my hands on the wheel until they were right up next to me.

Fucking disgusting. Officer was justifiably fired from his job. And hopefully will be charged with assault.

Hope the injured man recovers.

thankfully the cop injured this gang banger before anyone could get hurt. If these gang bangers aren't currently shooting at cops it's cuz they are trying to find a weapon to separate a brave police officer from his family.

you're right, one of the hospital staff or EMTs should have used their police key to uncuff the victim.

Mr. Jones remained in handcuffs for hours after Officer Groubert shot and then cuffed him. It was around midnight before someone realized that the handcuffs were missing, at which point someone finally went to the hospital where Mr. Jones had been treated and released him from the cuffs.

First off, how can I 'be right' in saying that the hospital staff or EMTs should have removed the cuffs with their own key when I didn't even come close to suggesting such a thing? Linear conversations man.. L-I-N-E-A-R. I asked if you were trying to say that the guy just sat there until midnight waiting to be treated since he 'was ignored'.

And no, the staff would be complete idiots to remove handcuffs from a patient without police presence unless it was absolutely necessary. It's not unusual for a cop to cuff somebody after they shoot them, nor is it unheard of to cuff a suspect to a hospital bed. The only problem with that in this case is that the cop was trying to cover his ass and make it look legit, as if the guy was a flight risk. Clearly, that was ended sometime around midnight. My guess is the higher brass saw that there was no way in hell they were going to arrest this poor guy after being treated, and ordered him released from the cuffs.

And the officer fired.

And the lawyers contacted, etc etc
