Time to start another grow and another journal yay!
adding usual disclaimer**
I love growing, I love posting pics and talking about growing. I make this journal to share my passion for what means the most to me. My plants.
Cannabis is a daily part of my life, without it I cannot function. Well I can however my quality of life is less than adequate.
This is a small medical grow, however I fully believe in a green world where we are covered in as much of it as we want :bigjoint:
Also I am enjoying some GDP I just dried and wanted to sample, so please ignore if my post is.. well high o_O

I decided to clean out some genetics from my mom closet, I was too excited and popped too many seeds and bought clones and I just don't have the space to give them all the grow attention they deserve.

Phat n fruity from barney's is 1 plant in this grow, I have more seeds of her so this is a one time grow of her for now.

Animal cookies I grew last time and she is just about to finish up here in a few weeks, I was so impressed by her potential I decided to grow her again and try a scrog.

Girl scout cookies - I got this plant as a clone from a local grower. The other clones I have gotten from them have turned out well.
so I am excited to see what this girl brings to the table for me.
I have been growing about 6 years about, not very long in the grand scheme of things and I'm not into the terms, supercropping,main lining, fimming lollipopping, etc.
I have picked them up from people here however I normally just feel my plants and, bend, cut, snip,break,or whatever it feels like the plant would benefit from.
So I ask for your tolerance on this, because you may call it one thing and I may just say I broke it or bent it.
I mean no offense if I do not use the terms more versed growers might. :oops:
My last grow is in my sig and lists the lights and tent I am using if anyone is curious.
just a lighthouse tent and 500 5w x2 Vipar LED's.
I also have a carb filter and fan, don't remember the brands, but they work well and are pretty quiet.

I use flora nova veg and bloom, super thrive, clonex gel and cloning solution,cal-mag,botanicare soiless grow formula is in my air pots. ,cha ching, monster bloom, sweet raw, I'm sure I'm missing something but that's a start. Oh yea I like orca too just not very often.
I do not use all of these things at once of course but that's the basics.
I am growing 5 plants in 5 gal equiv air pots . I was using plain 3 gallon pots my last grow.


Animal cookies grew out very tall this go round, I let her stay natural just to see where she would end up, with just a bit of training at first.
This is why I am looking forward to scrogging her.

I took 4 clones of the cali con 22 ( Jack Herer) seed I got as a freebie and grew out in july, this was going to be a tribute grow, however timing was off. So I gave away two of the clones to my GF and I had 2 left.

That's what you want when your scrogging. Train early to build your bush profile and canopy. Try to keep things as even as possible and if some branches get outta hand don't be afraid to top. This will help keep canopy even and help create some nice colas too.

My SCROG is doing well but this Blue Dream is very stretchy and I think she will grow up some more still. It's only been two weeks in and she's stretched like crazy. Just waiting for that to stop and the buds to start swelling

Glad to hear yours is doing great! will pop over and see in a few! These pics from this morning right before the lights went out, which is when I always take pics for future ref.

The mom's have all been topped various times, so now I plan on just training them out a bit with a little *up* as they start to go into flower, if like last time it takes the
Animal Cookies *forever* to stop stretching, so I'm allowing wiggle room.

The girl scout cookies, I haven't grown out yet, this will be a first. her stems are much stronger than AC, even in veg AC is weak stemmed, but she puts out nice buds
So I ignore that part. Kinda like my GF is a terrible cook but she has other features I find pleasing :bigjoint: I gave them all silica blast from Botanicare when they were in veg, it seems to
have helped.
All of the training I did has healed and they are already moving up again. ( except for one stalk on the AC I got heavy handed and broke it, but not completely off, so I just left her alone
it's healing and the tip is still healthy. No harm no foul.
I plan on removing the buckets underneath eventually and either replacing with something shorter or just having them on the ground, depending upon how much undergrowth I need to get in
and trim.
I know where I want this to go, now to just drive there with an untraveled map... exciting! *NOTE** in the first post AC and GSC are reversed. I just noticed. here are
updated and correct pics.
The two clones of the cali con 22, are almost ready to go in, there will be only this veg time, waiting on the old AC and ice cream to finish. The moms have been in veg since july, so I
am leaving room for them to get big.

ok so I have great news. I have been wanting to try this line of nutrients since bubbaGH mentioned one of the products on another thread.
Now that I have said nutrients, thanks to emerald triangle, I will be performing a test, I have 2 identical cali con 22 ( jack herer) that I grew out
I will be scrogging them as mentioned earlier, however.. one will be fed as I normally feed my plants and the other will be given this other set of nutrients.
I like experiments and I want to see the results for myself.
I will keep a separate bubble bucket for the special nutes and one for regular. I have nothing vested in either nutrient company. Just a fun comparison.

added the two cali con 22's this morning. they will get a little light and then start their 12/12 when the lights go out this morning. a week a part from the others already in the tent.
I decided to go ahead and get them flipped so I can keep a check on stretch, since these are sativas.

Clone 1 with my normal routine, flora nova veg, a lil cal-mag and silica blast. ppm around 500 ish PH around 6.2

Clone 2 with the new routine, basic mixture micro,veg,small bit of bloom and tea with a splash of deep breath. ppm and ph around the same. I followed the directions for the items to use.

Both babies have been topped once and I will put them into the 5 gal air pots in a few days.

about 33 inches, I need it a bit taller so I don't have to bend as much,my fibro is really bad some days and too low and I would not be able to tend them like they would need.

I have plenty of pvc/couplers and can change out the legs should I need to,taller/shorter is all in flux right now.
I have noticed just from caring for them so far I need more room between the plant and the screen so I am just letting them go for now and will lower the plants before I officially set them in place. Will be easier on me in the long run I think.

And glad ya made it my friend I had a chair waiting for ya :bigjoint:

So I took new pics, there's been tons of growth, I climbed underneath and cleaned everyone out. I'm just waiting on the two from the last grow to finish, so I can put up the rest of the
scrog net, the two CC-s are still small so isn't an issue yet.

after Animal cookies, she is always thin but her buds are killer, Ieft some smaller shoots, to take for clones before she hits full flower.

Girl Scout after a hair cut Phat N fruity, she is a short lil thing, will be better suited to being grown with something like my blackberry kush, not keeping her in my
garden after this, I still have seeds I can grow her out again later.

Now for the comparisons
Both are Cali COn 22-jack Herer clones, I grew out a freebie seed and then made babies.

One is getting my standard cocktail of flora nova, cal mag,and still giving a bit of silica blast, the other is getting Humbolt county's own nutes, following the feeding chart since
I haven't used them before. So far it's been interesting. I also gave my vegging plants some of the super tea and they just started exploding.
The twins as they will be called, have both been topped once.
Lucy and Ethel will grow up well, now it's just a fun test to see which is prettier when it's all said and done.

I know it hasn't been a week, I lied.. more pics now :bigjoint: decided to redo the scrog screen a little, I knew it was too high but I didn't know HOW high I wanted it, so figured
would use it awhile and make up my mind.

I have discovered 2 things so far.

1) I need more space between the plant and the screen, so I can maneuver or it's painful before long. so more veg time.
2) the ideal height of my screen is 22 inches, I whacked the legs and put it back, these plants were a test, and I've learned a lot already.
It won't be an ideal grow but it will still be fun and I will learn even more.
transplanted the 2 cali con 22-'s and I broke off a tiny tip of the HBCO clone ( butter fngers!), so isn't a fair test now, but I'm still going to keep going just to see if the buds themselves have any difference at all. sprayed under everything, repotted and put them all back. now they are sleeping happily.

the AC is a lanky girl, she will make the screen, I am not so sure bout the other gsc or phat fruity. the two cc 22's are supposed to be sativas to they should make it, if not
will make adjustments. next go will veg until plants are poking up on the screen.

There is still another section of screen that needs to be added, the front of the tent is still occupied by the last grow AC and Ice cream.
