Locking ideas? im an idiot

So look at the attatched photos.. after recently realize my plan to grow requires 2 rooms to grow in.. i need ideas on how to lock this door on the inside but theres gotta be a way for only me to get in from the outside lol.. is this possible at all..? its just a standard shitty wooden door lol, the "lock" on it doesn't lock anything it just kinda holds the door and you gotta liftthe hinge to get out lol its dumb

Go find a lock scroll. You should be able to cast it on the door with no levels in arcane casting. The upside is only you'll be able to open it. The downside is it would be easily dispelled due to your low caster level. It'll deter most newb thieves and adventurers though.

wait what the hell? lol
 
What if you install one of these on the inside? Where the door splits (assuming there is a small gap for the door to close), you insert and run a pocket knife up from the outside to raise the lever. As long as no one knows it's there, you're good! (Since your door opens on the left-hand side, the pic I attached needs to be reversed)

I actually love the concept of what you're saying, but i don't understand how that particular locks functions lol

No worries. I like the magnetic lock better than the latch too. There are a few cool models online. Magnetic entry is more like James Bond-007!
