cfls in totes, or hid, or led in tent?

I already have the cfls and totes, and they work fibre and pretty good but I Really wasn't the best and I am definitely wasting a lot of vertical space.

Currently 18"x22"x3' with 4x23w cfls for sprouts and 6x23w cfls for flower.

Should I use those boxes Just for veg and Add a 4'x4'x6'5" tent with a 600 or 1000w HPS--which wattage would be better for that space?--and use two tents for flower.

How many 5gal plants would a tent hold?

I would say you could do 9, that's a nice number.

A 600-1000 hps would be good. I'd go 600w, cool tube, and because of the amount of plants, an inline fan to bring in new air, squirrel cage or vortex fan with carbon filter for exhaust. Oh ya an inline for cool tube, and a couple clip fans for air movement and making those stalks, well stalky.

9 might be too much, depends on your plans on how you will grow them.

I went with a Secret Jardine and a LED. Couldn't be happier. Haven't ran out of personal stash for two years now. So happy I don't have to buy weed anymore.

thanks so much. i plan on having perpetual harvests preferably about every fortnight or month. so if that meant i should do taller skinnier plants and more of them then i will? i dont want to wait long between harvests because i smoke it al up.

i would get at Least two of those tents, maybe just a little bigger size. But another big Problem is Stealth and mobility. i have BiAnnual inspections... thank JESUS CHRIST pretty much only Annual, but that means i Have to move everything. so i wonder if the tents wpuld be Too much for me right now.? i just need to use the vertical space i have.

I have the Secret Jardin DR 90. You can grow two plants in it, no problem. I use a BlackStar 240. Usually only grow one at a though. Kind of like a perpetual grow. A few weeks before one plant finishes I'll germinate another. I grow mainly auto's but not always. The new auto's are great quality if you choose wisely.

If I were to buy another light right now though it would be the Area 51 XGS 190. Nothing wrong with the BlackStar but it's a few years old and the technology is better now.

5 gallon smart pots. 20/4 light schedule. Grown in same fabric pot its whole life with soil from seed. Usually 75-80 days from being out of the ground.

I'd recommend about anything from DinaFem especially their heavy yielders if that's your goal. Once you get your nute schedule down you could teach a monkey how to grow nice plants. It's really simple and cheap to do.

My plants usually get to be 3-4 foot tall. I don't do much as far as LST or anything. I just kind of let her grown naturally but I do manipulate the light height to get a slight stretch to open it up. From my experience if you don't encourage a little stretch, you end up with a huge green bush that doesn't produce all that well. Maybe it's the light, who knows but it works. The other thing is CalMag. I'd double down on that from the start. For whatever reason after about the mid flower point the leaves will start getting those damn rusty spots and progressively get worse until the leaf needs to be removed. That's really the only battle I have with the whole process.

nice thanks so much for the help and advice! I would try the autos once I get a Good light, But I have decided to get away from growing straight from seed for now... Not that I won't breed and store seeds, but I want to keep a few Good mothers, really good the best ones, and just grow cuttings of that.!
