since im kinda on a budget and just a little lazy i cant afford to black out my room for my dark period. im currently growing in a 5 gallon dwc. is it possible that i could put another 5 gal bucket upsidown over my plants to give them total darkness or would it suffocate them?

make a wall/barrier of black garbage bags taped together (ghetto, but a growers way to black out on a "no money but want to grow budget".

How about taking the idea that he is lazy and working with that, not just saying don't bother.

I was a ridiculously lazy grower, i wouldn't even bother re-filling dwc buckets when they ran dry. Never stopped me getting nice big harvests of weed though. Get off your high horses.

Don't let laziness stop you growing, just adapt so that your growing works with your laziness. Perfectly doable.

buy a small tent. use a closet. for two plants, you could use a standing closet with holes and fan put in for ventilation. take a basic class to understand how to grow a weed ?

Duct tape..trash bags...5 minutes = dark room....been there done that ! Dark colored bed sheet and thumb racks = dark room ! While your sitting around be lazy, maybe even stoned think of what's Laying around your home that you can use. I've seen good bud from $40 grows !!

A refrigerator box works, and for smaller plants, a clean garbage can will do. Consider putting a computer fan in the box somewhere, beware of light leaks.
I would highly suspect wrapping a garbage bag over a plant in dark time would create significant humidity issues, and if not hurt the plant, certainly raise the likelyhood of bud mold.

I don't know though. I'd choose to tape the bag over the window as opposed to bagging my plant. It would never cross my mind to suffocate a plant like that.
