BNB - nothing, i repeat, nothing will ever go back to 1955.

lamenting for it is precisely why the right is falling apart..denial and not living in the now.
Why can't it be?

All one need to is stop taking medicare taxes out of pay rolls.

Honor the Medicare system for those over a certain age.

And it goes away.

Medicare/aide is the single biggest reason our costs began to explode in this nation.

After all we've done the past few years, we did virtually nothing to address any of the actual problems we have.

We either need to go way back, or go forward. Stuck in this pseudo-socialist health care system is doomed to fail.

And for the umpteenth time I'm not bigbushy.

I have a gold plan that cost 493.00 per month with a 750.00 deductible. My knee surgery is just over 10k and they say I will owe up to 4700.00 total out of pocket. I really thought I had better Ins than that so thanks BarryO.
So what are you complaining about? That you are not getting out of it what you paid in? How much sould the surgery be without the insurance? What other options do you have?

My wife is going in for knee surgery later this month, there is nothing elective about it if you can't walk, work or exercise. Sedentariness can be as life threatening as many diseases.

We have Blue Cross/Blue Shield, about $312/month. Surgery is being performed at one of the best facilities in NC, Duke Hospital, about $12,000 all in. $3,000 deductible with a $2000 health savings account that also goes towards the deductible when it's used. Our total outlay will be around $1900.

Fuck ObamaCare and the SUBSIDEEZ that it propagates. And we all know SUBSIDEEZ are free, appearing out of thin air and never need to be funded by anyone.
So is your employer subsidizing the rest of the policy? Who is paying the majority of the cost of your insurance premiums? What if you lose your job? Do you want to go back to the way it was when an insurance company would say no to the Elective knee surgery even though you been paying premiums?

What are your guys plans?

Are you still on the tit of your inlaws?

Bignbushy, whoever he is, is at least only sucking his family dry.

Unless you think everyone hopes their daughter grows up to marry a narcotics manufacturer.

...you're kidding, right?
We slaughter animals by the millions for food.

We burden animals by the millions for burden and labor.

We cage them by the millions for their products, eggs, dairy and wool.

We keep thousands of other animals of all kinds for only reproduction purposes.

Yet you're worried about what would be a few dozen people in any given state who fuck the animal, which any larger than a dog wouldn't even notice.

Get your priorities straight.

The animals that become the object of some strange farmers lust are probably the luckiest animals of all.

In your mind it's ok for farmer John to stick his hand up a cow pussy to implant bull semen. But you have a problem with farmer Bill using his significantly smaller cock?

I just don't think fucking an animal is something someone ought to see the inside of a jail cell for.

this thread was entertaining , there are a few that could use the sort of sence without which all other sence is nonsence and that is common sence .

finally someone from the right understands this concept..your wife is responsible for herself..sounds like she hasn't been doing too much exercising so i'm not sure how you can complain about it.

a policy for an aging couple with medical conditions? $312/month? that is a fucking miracle..what exactly do you want? and you're complaining about a $1900 expense for a major surgery?

Normally, I can follow your train of thought. This whole post confuses me. My wife runs 8-10 miles every other day up until the knee issue and is temporarily just walking until her surgery. Not sure what you think I'm complaining about.

As to the rest, I wasn't complaining about our outlay of cash, I was showing HOW LITTLE it was costing us. And yes, State Farm has very solid benefits.

I don't know about "aging", we're in our mid forties.

So what if you didnt have employer based insurance?
Then what?
Then I'd be using medical insurance that I bought privately. Or, I'd negotiate a non-insured price and stroke a check.

You do understand that medical insurance has been available for purchase directly to individuals long before ObamaCare was nefariously conceived.

Yes.

State Farm.

I'm retired, running a small business. I can't be fired.

It was NEVER that way since I've had insurance (28 years). I've never had, nor ever heard of anyone in my family or any friend's family being denied necessary medical treatment by their insurer in my entire life...EVER.

however unaffordable to most anyone who wanted to purchase, hence ACA.
