looking for best extraction methods

simply put, im just trying to make some concentrate for dabbing. just personal nothing big, maybe like half ounce to an ounce of good bud. just looking for opinions and options. thank you :3 happy toking

best method
CO2 extraction .........great tasting stuff can be used in food prep (dabs or vapes or candies or foods)

most common
BHO extraction........most of what u see ppl do

Simplest
ISO extraction ..........wash it then u heat the iso up passed 187 it evapes off and leaves u the oil in the bottom

hash/wax
Ice bag extractions

What's best is very subjective. Your gonna get a different answer from most. Here's my 2 cents which you can take or leave.

I make ISO extractions. I found that it was the best option for me because it is much safer to work with the butane. You must do butane extractions outdoors to be safe, which I can't do where I live. If done properly an ISO extraction is every bit as good as any bho. Do a search on here for qwiso and there are several great threads that spell out the right way to do it. I'm not gonna type it all out but I will say the less heat you use the better the final product will be. Peace and good luck.

What's wrong with ISO or bho for edibles? I make some killer candies with my ISO extractions.

Co2 obviously isn't my expertise. I was under the impression you could use quite low temps

I think super critical bottoms out around 91f, times are very long for co2 scfe due to the weak nature of scfe co2 as a solvent.

This is why co2 oil is packed in syringes and is dark brown.

if u do iso
rem the temp needs to get up passed 212 (water boiling point) i go to 220 when the temp gun reads that i take a butter knife and stir it around until the temp drop

then just take it off the heat and keep stiring it untill u can not smell the iso anymore ..........jar it up and open now and then some of the iso will purge off while it stored

thanks for the info bro, ive never extracted with iso before so any advice is great whats the final product end up like can i get it into a shatter state or??

i am not sure ...........my first ISO run was tho VG tincture ........i had 2 oz of stuff i knew something good was still in there so i took a pint of iso poured it in and shook it up

the iso oil and vg all collected and came out when i cooked it down ..............i been using it for ecigs

with pure 99% iso u should get shatter with the right cook off .................i just know the temps from distiling my own moonshine
at 187 iso will bubble all the way up to 210 .......at 212 water will boil sinnce the iso has 1% something else in it i do 220 to make sure no water is in it so popping when u fire it

Yeah..... This is not a method for dabbing, this is an oral application and a poor one at that.

ISO has a boiling point of 94F and will 100% evaporate on its own (with no heat) given time. ISO dabbs should be the true heat-less product.
