Harvest when the trichs turn amber for a body high, then hang dry individual stems 9 or 10 days. Then put in jars, opening them once daily for 15 minutes, for 30 days then ENJOY.

Hang it for 9-10 days???? Be very careful with that as you might end up with something so dry it will never cure. The drying time is enviromentally sensitive and will differ with different locations, temps, humidity, ect. If I hung something up for 9-10 days it would crumble when touched it would be so dry. Here's a good read https://www.rollitup.org/t/a-perfect-cure-every-time.514841/ Get a hydrometer, it makes it easy and was probably the best 20 bucks Ive spent on this hobby.

is it a must to cure the buds ? thanks for your help
no curing is not necessary good weed taste great when dried slowly 10-14 days
curing it allows you to store it longer so it does not go all dry brittle and harsh if left out ,it may bring out some differences in the taste

if you dry it too quickly with too much heat 5-7 days it will have that nasty green taste like much of the street weed around in the uk
or if the strain/pheno itself does not have much taste there is little that can be done many plants/phenotypes grown can lack in flavour
curing will make very little difference to these tasteless plants

i find when you chop the average hybrid at 6-7 weeks it has a thinner softer smoke and a clear high
if you leave it to 9 weeks it will have a thicker more oily texture to the smoke and more of a sleepy stone
also i find the longer you leave it 9-10 weeks etc hints of the generic hash/skunk type flavours start emerging
even with strains that are normally more fruity

peace

some weed that is grown longer does have a darker brown look because many of the crystals are amber the colour will depend more on the strain than the maturity imo
but overall it will mostly look green/ be a shade of green
i find the skunks tend to be lighter green, cheese is very light green
the more indica strains can be darker green
the brown/golden colour is not so common from what i grow

one of the phenos of angelheart i grew looked quite brown to me when done, like brown sugar

Yellowing on the cola leaves or the colas themselves? Normal for fan leaves to go yellow the closer u get to harvest time. Not normal if the buds them selves are turning yellow I'd be looking for a remedy asap, good luck.

i have a dehumidify but im worried that is drying it out to fast im not sure? also best ways to tell when at its strongest thc form for a body high
What is your relative humidity in your growing and drying area? I've read to hang for 1 day plus 1 day for every 10% RH. I'm in a dry climate (20-30% RH) and I tend to overdry that way, or it wasn't uniform. I hang for half the time (in a dark closet, no fan) then cut the buds off into a plastic container. I adjust the lid on it to walk the humidity down from 80% down to 65%, turning the buds by hand once-twice per day. Then in a 1gal Ball canning jar (decorative jar at Walmart or Target). Burp every day. I hold it here for 2-3 weeks. Then half-gal wide-mouth canning jars (Ace hardware).

I also use 1-2 large Boveda 62% in the gallon jar, and 1 in the half-gal jars.

If you're in a humid area, you might need to dry faster, or use a fan to help. You have to be concerned with bud rot. (For me, I have to be concerned the fine bud parts dry much faster than the liquid stored in the center due to my low RH.).

For taste, be sure you flush long enough. I don't even flush. I switch to water only about 2 weeks before harvest. I let the plant use up what's in the soil, stored in itself. It's hard to predict when you'll harvest. That takes some experience. I usually water for 3 weeks because I guess too soon. I've got some FloraKeen (flush) in case I start clean-water too late and can't "cleanse" long enough.

I agree with skunk about waiting longer to harvest. I wait till I get some amber trics. It's much longer than is intuitive. The plants look like bizzare, all the fan leaves gone or shriveled up. Just these gargantuan buds on sticks leaning over. My friends and I notice a peaceful, relaxed stone.

For taste, try organics. I started using Grow More Sea Grow (<<link). The first plant I harvested tasted profoundly different. The ones I grew with purely synthetic nutrients weren't harsh because of the long water-only "cleanse." I thought they tasted good, better than street weed. But, the one with Grow More was deep, rich. I would describe it like that "fifth taste" called umani (in addition to the 4 tastes of sweet, sour, salt & bitter). It's a different dimension like richness. I'm waiting to harvest my second plant grown with Sea Grow, hoping the taste is a consistent result.

There are other pre-packaged organic nutes: General Organics, Roots Organic.

could be light burn, not a big deal on the leaves but if buds are light burned they will loose potantcy.
