not necessary but if you do dont go with a mechanical stick tester. make shure you add the nutrients to the water and then adjust. Some of those nutrients drop ph real bad

Maybe a dumb question but say said soil needs adjusted because the ph is off, how do I make the adjustments?

lime or hard wood ash would make it go up. acid makes it go down so I guess humic acid Elemental sulfur and ferrous (iron) sulfate are both effective in acidifying the soil. ffof is pre buffered soil so all you have to do is adjust the ph of your nutrient solutions
