First plant of the year chopped!

Thought I'd share a few pics of a freebie that I harvested today. Strain is G-13 labs "cheese".

For not being an "early" strain she did start flowering early (1st week of July or so).

Trics were mostly cloudy with a few clear. Normally I would have let her go another week or so, but 3 days of rainy cool weather was causing spots of bud rot.

All in all not bad. She was one of my smaller plants, but I'm still hoping she pulls 5-6 zips

I actually had a chance to check on it today. It's looking great. I think the buds have stopped growing, but I haven't had a chance to check the trics.

That one will definitely be coming down soon though :mrgreen:

Thanks for the kind words.

I've got a theory going that its not as much the early flowering genetics as it is pot size and plant maturity.

I started early indoors around May and transplanted in June to 15 gallon fabric pots.

Needless to say my plants reached full potential in the room they were given by July and soon after began flowering. Maybe I'm just crazy but that's what I'm thinking haha.

I've never personally seen a 1 lb plant here in the northeast. I've got a couple that I think are in the running, but the structure on this one was funny. I should have taken a couple pics before the chop.

Definitely a true statement, Bigger pots mean bigger buds. Amazing seeing the differance in weight when you double or triple the container size.

Harvested another one today and it was a chore... Just one of those plants with lots of leaves and smaller bottom nugs but it will be worth it in the end.

I didn't get too creative with pictures since I was short on time, but the before picture is posted above.

(And yes, those are nugs in a 20 piece box.)

I have one more early plant to harvest. It's actually the purple strain in my avatar picture. Sadly I don't know if it will even be there when I check it... Helicopters were out in full force today and I actually witnessed one hovering over the area I grow in. :finger:

Hopefully they missed it ,especially since that one is so nice.great work so far good luck on the next one:) btw that one is the nicest frisian I have seen so far

Thanks man. It means a lot to hear that.

It's definitely been my best year so far. Last year I only pulled a little over 2 lbs total and this year I've almost accomplished that with 2 plants.

I'll give that spot a few days to cool down and then I'll go in all covert ops to check it out. Hopefully all is well.
