I took your advice and got them in 15L pots. They look a lot happier now. I tied them down again, and have some nice new growth.

The only thing I notice with them now is some of the browning and yellowing of some of the fans leafs at the tips and the claw look of them. After transplant I added magic cal and watered. It has been a couple of waters without nutrients other than the magic cal as I thought maybe I was over feeding (usually used less than recommended dose). Next water I will add nutes again. Any thoughts on what is causing the issue? It is really only a couple of them on each plant.

Just out of curiosity, how much water do you put into each pot typically when you water?View attachment 3234991View attachment 3234992 View attachment 3234997
Hi mate, glad to hear they are a bit better.
I usually only water 10% of the volume of the pot. It means watering every couple of days but It also means air gets sucked into the medium fairly well.

If your getting the claw, clawing down is too much N, clawing up is mg as you know. I've also noticed that the main veins in your leaves on a couple of pics have turned purple. I'm sure that's N tox also. But I'll have to check that out.

I like to add a flushing agent once every two weeks or so to prevent salt build up and give them a good flush out. You may have salt build up which is causing Ntox and salt build up may cause a mg lock out.

Just a thought

I'm told purple veins come with colder temps so don't know about Ntox causing purple veins so forget that lol.

I think flush with a flushing agent till you get run off then add a 1/2 nute solution with Calmag and then let them dry out for a few days. Keep your eye on the new growth as mg def progresses quickly from the bottom of your plant

Quick update on the girls. I flushed them last night with some final phase, ran enough water flushing agent through them that they were puking out the bottom.

I added a 1/4 strength feeding after the flush, I thought that might be part of the issue as I have been cutting back on nutes lately because I was trying to figure out some issues I was having. I included a close up of a fan leaf browning and yellowing. It is only a few of them, and nothing on the tops. Is this natural or some sort of issue?Screenshot_2014-08-24-21-06-46.pngScreenshot_2014-08-24-21-07-36.png Screenshot_2014-08-24-21-07-22.png Screenshot_2014-08-24-21-07-01.png

Looks like your root system may be water-logged. You need to let them breathe. I usually sit containers in a saucer or something & Let the roots soak up as much as they need. I think you are over-watering your plants.Try to let the soil dry out a little and bottom-water if you can. Check out my girls:-P

Wow those are looking nice. When you water like that do you always keep water in it? Or add it for a certain time then remove it?
Thanks bro :-) I just leave the containers with H2o in the bottoms (about 1" of water). They soak it up FAST, and therefore don't need to be watered from the top as often. I've used kitty-litter trays indoors and bottom-water (being lazy) and the plants do Great. Let your plants dry out a little between soaking sessions. Try it, and you'll get the hang of it. You are doing a great job, keep us updated :leaf:
PS- Just lift the pots to see if the plants need water. A very common mistake with newbies is over watering/ over fertilizing. Keep on keepin' on brotha :joint: and remember - it's a weed so it practically grows itself, provided it gets the basics. Ample light, rich growing medium and easy on the fertilizer- especially chem fertilizers- ( start out with 1/4-1/2 strength ) and quite often that is enough for the plants. Cheers-

Awesome, thanks for the encouragement and advice! Im not expecting much from these guys, my goal when I start was 2 ozs. It was more the learning experience and getting the basics down. All and all, besides a few little things I think the plants are doing ok. I will hold off on the water a little and see how she goes.

Btw, how many plants were jn the pic you posted? They looked like monsters

Thanks :-) There are only 4 plants in the garden ... 3 are about 4-5' tall with lots of side-branches. One is short & bushy due to LST/ Super-cropping. Let me show you the individual plants :

DSCN0806.JPG Our tallest Lemon Kush from Female Seeds Co. She's about 5' tall and packing on the weight. This pic was taken about 10 days ago-

DSCN0808.JPG Our shortest Lemon Kush. I super-cropped / topped her many times early on. She was the first to show pistils and now is developing nice resin that smells like the loveliest Hindu Kush Indica ever. No Lemon smell (yet?) on either one though -
