I've always wondered if that road kill skunk I smoked in the 80s was really as killer as I remember or was it because I was a teenager?

I remember that too... perfect golf balls , wide leaf , light green stinky Skunk ? That was a Indica right ? not the Skunk 1 Sativa of today ?

I never grew it myself TWS. I remember lime-green, compact buds that smelled so bad you couldn't walk around with a sack in your pocket. Couldn't take a full hit either without hacking up a lung. We called it Kentucky Thunderfuck and a big old 4-finger sack was $40 way back then, which was an insanely high price at a time when I was buying a "lid" for $35.

that sounds like the stuff. I haven't seen that either for a long time. I don't remember seeing much that resembles it either. we called it skunk budd or Humboldt.

TWS, I was in the Navy with a cool cat from Humboldt County who said "that sounds like Humboldt", way back in 1988 when I described what we smoked in my hometown. Craziest mfer I knew in the navy. I often wonder what happened to old boy.

you know , never thought about saving them for any reason like it would always be around in true form. Customs fucked that all up !

I just wish I could find a true road kill skunk strain, but it seems they are all of the sweet variety these days. I reckon the smell has been bred out or some shit.
