Can I still use this or is it wasted?

This Is my bag of FFOF and I thought I had it in a safe place but I just grabbed it outta the container and I have what looks like mold but It doesn't have a bad smell to it, it smells normal. Anybody have an idea as to what this is or had this happen to them before? Kinda in a rush as it's transplant time and this is all I have and cannot get anymore for awhile, can I use this? Could this just be the bennies in it reacting to the extra moisture? Any help would be appreciated

Do u think that would be enough to kill off any mold? I don't wanna use it and get sick from smoking the bud, or use it and lose a whole grow due to mold or root rot or whatever it could cause.

Damn I figured that's what I would hear. Could I use it in my compost pile I started bout a month ago? The bennies would help that out a lot I would think plus all the stuff that goes in there gets pretty nasty anyway.

for the price of soil, why risk it.....toss that mold ridden soil
My thinking was the compost pile won't be done for like a year and has to go thru winter months still. Won't everything in the pile be nasty and rotten? Or are u telling me not to use it for the transplant

I'm no expert with composting soil, thus I'm not telling you to do anything, all I'm saying is I toss anything with mold...personally I always start off with new soil or medium

....but you may be correct when it comes to composting,

Spores are present always and form and grow when the conditions are right. Peroxide is safe for dirt and the plant . Too much peroxide will burn. 2 capfulls in a sprayer full of water, give it a good spray, and you can use it immediatly

I've used molded soil in a grow before. Not my first choice but got in a pinch and had too do it. Once mixed up and potted I didn't notice any mold reform. No ill effects on plants during or after grow. Like I said, it wouldn't be my first choice but it'll work.

peroxide will also kill any bennies in the soil, so you might as well just put in dirt from your back yard.

that soil looks fubar'd. ive ran FFOF for 2+yrs and ive never seen that.

....If it was between the FF or dirt out of my backyard I would then try to salvage the FF. Get rid of the bad stuff, mix it up, put it out in the sun and dry it out good and see what you got then. It's not ideal, but compared to digging dirt out of your yard......
