I grow DWC and despite what some confused individuals may say I put my ph at 5.6 and let it drift up to 6.3 but lately it hasn't been drifting up. It's been going down rapidly. I calibrate my ph meter all the time and when my ph drops I raise it but yet it keeps going down. Please help

Despite what we think - Ph doesn't mean as much as we would like to when it does when it comes to issues using DWC. Keep her anywhere from 5.5 to 6.5 and there isn't anything you should be worried about. Keep your light leaks in check, and keep feeding reasonable amounts. Nutrients @ 900-1100ppm and you shouldn't be experiencing any un-solvable problems.

i think a ppm of 900-1100 would greatly depend on the strain , if you do that to a heavy sativa leaning strain say nevils haze or even a herer its burnt to a crisp.

It may be root rot cause my rooms been pretty hot and I'm getting an air conditioner next week but if it is root rot, what do I do?

Yeah hit Temps in the water is usually what causes root rot. Search h2o2 root dunk. I'm not sure exactly how much h2o2 to use but cut off all the mushy nasty roots you can, don't hurt the good roots though. And then do the h2o2 dunk. Also start using 5ml h2o2 per gallon of water as a prevention.

although i dont run hydro i constantly read , ive read on a thread on here about using a capfull of clorox bleach in the rez to fight off root rot . i wish i could point u to the thread but it may b something that you can search for .

I use bleach to keep my res clean at .5ml a gallon

I think the h2o2 would work better for root rot though but not positive on that. I haven't had many root rot problems in a long time but h2o2, bleach in very small Concentrations or something like aqua shield should work.

Always try to keep the res Temps below 70 and it's harder for pathogens to form in the water
