First Grow In 6 Years - Chemdog, Berry Ryder, Northern Lights

Thanks for describing your process bro. I'll try to do it similarly with the slight difference of chopping into manageable pieces rather than the whole plant, and using mason jars rather than coffee cans. Do you notice much difference beyond your 4 week cure or is that about prime time for you?

I'm guessing there won't be much for hash or budder coming out of my little tent. Only so many popcorn buds n sugar leaves on these dwarves... Would be damn nice to try my hand at making hash tho.

I consider 4 weeks a minimum, but I usually continue to burp for up to 6 weeks, depends on the strain and smell. Once they're cured properly theres a sweet smell that comes off when you open the container and you'll know they're good to go. After 5-6 weeks I smell nor taste much difference but by then I'm into a new batch and the old one is gone or in more permanent jars for longer term storage for personal.

No worries, you'll end up with a good cooking stock before you know it

Sad day guys...my beautiful chemdog started really frosting up, forming some decent buds n then....fucking balls. Again. Gotta say I'm done w/ this strain. Gonna kill the seedling one too. Hoping it didn't pollinate n Fuck up the rest of my crop. None of them were opened up n they looked immature, individual balls. But some of the other girls have really swelled up calyxes like they got seeds n em...Fml

Kinda sucks but it is what it is...I'd say bad genetics but the Berry Ryders are from the same breeder and look amazing...minus the balls both Chemdogs were damn nice too...meh..got plenty of beans so something will fill the spot soon enough

Yeah was well stocked up before a seed even hit the dirt haha. Well problems are part of the experience. What I've learned was worth more than a handful of $10 seeds and a couple hours. I sent Auto Seeds an email just to let them know that 2/3 of the Chemdogs turned herm and all 3 showed leaf deformities so maybe they'll take a second look at the line and work some of the kinks out (wishful thinking...).

The new dilemma is who gets to fill the space? Sticking w/ autos until the setup gets expanded a bit, so here are the options I've got:
Nirvan Northern Lights Autos (again)
BlimBurn Seeds Northern Auto
Auto Seeds HiJack
Sweet Seeds Auto Dark Devil
Sweet Seeds Auto Black Cream

Everything else I've got are reg seeds which I'm not setup to run properly atm...next year hopefully (if they're all still viable lol).

Your regs will be fine, no problem. You might consider running less strains, more of them, like 2 of each, makes it easier to manage them...

I was truly intrested in that chemdog. Not anymore. Thanks for runnin em and sharing your knowledge and experience with them. I respect that. Remember I suggested you run them and let me know how it went? I do, I have replacement beans in progress for doing it.



On to another topic, how many seeds of the black cream and the dark devil do you have? If you have enough that you can hold one of each you can pollinate them with that pollen we talked about. Red Family Mixes!

Thanks guys. A series of bad luck can't Fuck up my attitude towards this amazing hobby...still optimistic about the other girls. Was kind of sick to cut down the last chem but at least it wasn't a photo plant I'd been vegging* for 4 months n then found balls or something lol...

As you already know I'm very interested in the BR too. I need to order them again and play. I think I almost have my wife convinced that I NEED more room for auto pollen chunking. She loves auto smoke so I think I can pull it off, wish me luck.

Share? Not me. She has her own tent with DJ's blueberry. I do about 10 autos a year and she gets most of that and I don't mind. She don't like powerful sativas so share my haze? I think not.
