2 week road trip, what to do to keep plants alive....

I bought mine on Amazon, nine days delivery. If you're that close to harvest though when you leave, you could over-water, dim your lights (if possible), and/or change your light period to 6/18 as to keep some light on so humidity doesn't get carried away while at the same time ensuring your medium doesn't remain completely wet in a long dark period.

Plants will die off, but you can consider this period semi-drying time.

All the above, of course, only recommended if you can't get the drip systems in time.

I purchased it for 70 bucks! not bad at all, I will also over water them and depending on how finished they are dim the lights like you said. Keep it on 6/18 and roll with it. As long as I have something to smoke when I get home LOLOLOL.

Get the claber oasis 5 gal drip system from amazon for $60. Feeds 25 plants up to 15 days with 150ml (many settings you can choose, 150ml is max) of solution a day. If you have less plants you can be gone for longer. If you have thirsty plants you can using multiple feeds on a single plant.

Shit, i I use it even when I am not gone on vacation. My veggie cabinet is completely watered and fed through this drain to waste system. I simply fill up the claber every 15-20 days.

I would have bought that setup but I don't have ANY access to water in my room. I would have to run a line to the second story and that would be super expensive and might giveaway what I am doing as we have a vacation rental behind us .

It says it only works with clean water, so I figure I will set it up and turn it on regardless of being gone. I think it will be cool to keep the soil having a stable stream of water. I could just top feed the nutes . The humidity here is < 30 at all times so the dirt just drys up.

All you need is a water holding container that you can fit in your tub to fill then like i said. Gravity does the rest

not for 2 weeks it won't LOLOL, the milk jug has more potential there .

Instead of poking a hole in it (will drain out in one day), place it higher than the top of your pot. Take strip of cloth and place one end in the jug with it going all the way to the bottom. Place the other end on the surface of your soil. (may want to slightly bury it so it doesn't fall out) The cloth will wick water from the jug to the pot. Won't work with synthetic fibers. One gallon may not be enough, tho. You may have to experiment with different types of cloth, or maybe use cotton clothes line.

In my Claber systems, I use 3 part hydro nutes, even for my soil buckets. I found that organic nutes clog the filters and make a mess.

Man, you can make something real simple by just going to the home depot and buying an irrigation timer and a drip emitter system with a reservoir. Set it for the time you would normally water and be done with it.
