Can any of you that support these products even articulate what is in them or do you just buy things because people tell you to? And yes, this is a legitimate question; I'm not trying to be an asshole, I just want to know if you actually thought about how you even came to that product. I go to products because they fill a specific need. What specific need are you filling with these products?

You shouldn't argue....it's guaranteed

The only things in life that are guaranteed are taxes and death. Try formulating a real answer. I wouldn't hire you in my garden with that kind of answer. As a matter of fact, I probably wouldn't let you tend to my tomatoes either. By the way, the biggest cost in not understanding a product you're using is you just might waste your time. Your time may be invaluable, mine is not. They can refund my money all day long, that doesn't get my time back. Again, what is this product actually doing for you? What does it offer the plant that your base nutrients do not?

I just realized you were being facetious. I apologize for jumping the gun but anytime AN comes up, I get a little hot around the collar because they prey on stupid people :) I like your style already!

If it's L amino acids you're looking for maybe try a product like this:

http://www.growthproducts.com/pages/horticulture.asp?htmlpage=EssentialBrochure_AgandHort.html

Derived from potassium humate, 20 natural L-amino acids, enzymes, simple & complex sugars, vitamins, kelp extracts, carbohydrates, hydrolyzed organic proteins, a natural wetting agent and natural biostimulants, Essential Plus is engineered to deliver an array of soil and plant solutions. Its proprietary blend of ingredients enhance soil structure, improve overall plant health and give growers better crops every step of the way.

Something actually made for the horticultural industry and not some overpriced trash a few like minded thieves decided to market to the ill informed.

No, people only buy those products cuz the name has kush in it. Then u get fucking threads like this where people are using 28 bottles of nutrients and they have nice looking plants, and that just confuses the fuck out of new people that want to learn how to grow. Advance nutes was popular here in California like 3 years ago. now it just sits on shelfs. They used to have 1 good product back in the day, it was called jump start. it was a spray. I don't think the guy that works at the hydro store thats on this thread has even heard about it or seen it. but really that product could have been a gimmick and i fell for it.

Absolutely, Bud Candy, Bud Blood so on is the same marketing target, Connoisseur at $60 a Liter is a whole new dark marketing scheme though, Prestige Pricing psychological marketing technique at work their, very clever A.N. webmonkeys they employ, if only their nutrients were as articulate as their vehement marketing bashing we would be talking about them in a whole different light.

mono P K sulfate and aminos. In a very concentrated form 1 bottle will treat 375gal for me at 8cents/gal

Looks like a great product for an all in one bottle, but it wouldn't fit my style. Different strokes for different folks.

I don't think any answer I could give you on why I garden the way I do would satisfy you, so I'm not gonna bother wasting my time. Anything I would say, would just be brought with the unlikable practices of myself and Advanced and the prices of their company.

I'm happy that what you use works for you, and by no means was the purpose of my original post to sell people on a product it was purely to let users who are using Big Bud wondering what Kushie Kush is, or thinking about using either know that Kushie Kush is a more economical alternative offered by the same company that will perform the same as Big Bud.

Maybe someone wants to just increase a few particular elements rather than everything that's in their base bottle....Are there much cheaper ways, most fucking definitely, but what concern of it is yours to care how people grow their plants and how much they spend...It's not like I ever told you to go out and buy this and trash whats on your shelf.

All those products are not worth the money. And Bud Candy contains synthetic preservatives that I worn people about every time they go to buy it....

What I find funny is people playing with things they don't understand. Regardless of what medium you are using a plant requires certain things. All these things work in unison. Somethings a plant needs just enough, other nutrient needs are interlinked, yet still a higher presence of one can lock out another.

Just meet the basic requirements a plant needs. Either prep your soil, or use full lines that are complete in nature. It isn't that hard. I find it funny people believe they need this product or bettr yet never even see if the same results are duplicated without it. I think its more of a case of justifying a purchase after the fact. Nothing is going to make your plants any much better with out venturing into pgrs and the like.

A competent grower and solid genetics is what makes a good harvest. It's nothing you can buy in a bottle with 0.003% active ingredient and water

I asked a simple question and you couldn't answer it which I'm absolutely okay with; it's your god given right to use things you don't understand and I will not stand in the way of your ignorance any longer. You're free little bumble bee :)

I don't care how you spend your money either but I do care that stupid people make con artists rich. AN is kinda like the Catholic Church; both entities are selling something they don't really have which is a good product. I hope it makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside to make con artists rich. We seem to be polar opposites and I'm very much okay with that.

Your entitled to your opinions.
Nobody is trying to brow beat ya hear dude. We just want you to understand there are plenty of quality nutrient lines out there, but AN is a company that employs devilishly intelligent marketing to push watered down product that they then break down further into 15 or 20 different bottles. The cannabis plant does NOT require 15 or 20 bottles to supply the elements required for growth and flowering; it's a damn lie outright which is why it's bad business to patronize these types of companies that are taking advantage of new growers. There are many many lines of cannabis specific nutrients and most of all will perform well if you just reduce the recommended dose by 25% across the board because they ALL recommend too high of a dose because the more you use the more they sell.

The nutrient companies exist to make an honest profit and I'm okay with that; I just don't want to be fucked, that's my wife's job. Learn from your experience from AN and try to determine what is in the product and then find it cheaper from another supplier dude. All of these companies are pushing the same shit; NUTRIENTS! What I did was check out 2 or 3 different lines of products from 2 or 3 different manufacturer's (AN included) and what I found out was they're all pushing the same damn shit with different names basically. AN sells silica as rhino skin and I've also heard it called silguard and so forth when in reality, it's just fucking silica which helps strengthen the cell walls of the plant. Finish using the product you have b/c waste is stupid, but learn from your experience and next time you walk into your local hydro shop, you'll hold the power then, not the guy behind the counter. You just might SCHOOL the shit out of someone :) Check out General hydroponics flora 3 part grow, micro, and bloom. Cost ya $15/quart and it's good stuff. I use floralicous plus as an additive throughout the grow (microbes and organic goodies) and I have had to very infrequently use cal-mag (1-2x/grow only) when purple stems arise. That's a complete line for under $70. Write AN an email and ask them why GH can produce a complete nutrient line for $70 but they want $200 for theirs. You'll love the response if you get one at all :)

Have you looked at my journal? I don't use all Advanced Products...I use so much shit it will make you puke but I'm not and Advanced fan boy at all. They just produce a few products that work just as well as other products, but in some cases are even more economical(like my Big Swell Example above). Every company has dozens of bottles now, not just Advanced. Botanicare has a whole wall of additives, as does GH, as does Roots, as does Fox Farm, etc, etc....

I am the guy behind the counter btw...There are better and cheaper alternatives to GH 3 part. One is Jungle Juice GMB(exact copy of GH 3 part) , and another is a GMB from Grow More that's almost identical, except it even has more trace elements and is cheaper than both Jungle Juice and GH. Maybe if that's your gardening style you should go into your local hydro shop and buy one of those products. Oh wait your giving up synthetics right? Check out Cutting Edge GMB it's also cheaper and almost all organic.....

Write GH and ask them why Advanced 3 part is cheaper than theirs....Before you come and tell me how to garden or what it is you think I know, take the time to try and really understand the person you are engaging with, and not just throw them in with some generalized idea you have for the people that use a particular product.

Seriously no hard feeling. I just think you got a little wound up when you saw an Advanced thread, and needed to get your hatred out. I can completely understand those feeling. Good luck in your transition to organics, and I wish you success.
