Hey crew! Just picked the first AA+ fruit and figured Id share it with ya guys! These are such beautiful mushrooms! This big fruit was my first flush, which is also a first! Never had a single mushroom flush. I will dunk and hope for some more! I am not too fond of the HUGE fruits because I HATE splitting them in half and cutting the cap off prior to drying because I always feel I am losing potency when I see the bluing. I know I know, the bruising is not an indicator of potency loss but anywhoo, here it is. One thing I noticed about this guy is it bruises SO EASILY. Even when touched on the outside this thing was looking hurt, and boy oh boy when I cut it in half this sucker turned a wicked blue!

Dude! I love these fruits!! I just cant get over how easily they bruise! I never seen a mushroom bruise this much, maybe its just the trait of this ones genes? They are literally bruising while they are shriveling up in the dehydrator lol the entire outside and inside is damn near blue now. Does anyone know what causes bruising and are we sure its not an indicator of potency loss?

we all really really want the bluing reaction to be a potency indicator. I had my own personal strain 30 years ago that bruised when you looked at it too hard. It was a sporeless albino that turned indigo, dark dark dark. But it was more potent than any other.

I didn't know. I thought I was a genius, it wasn't till later I realized that this wonder strain was actually an Amazonian on the verge of scencience, it was geneticly sick.

please dont do that.

the very first mushroom I ever grew clocked in at a quarter pound wet. I thought I had made a mistake somewhere and put the mass under a Tupperware bowl. Went away for a long weekend and there she was pushing the bowl up.

you can get big fruit if you use high protein substrate, a strain known for large fruit and low temperatures. You should also cull the other pins near it as early as you can.

I have NO idea why I always get these monster fruits man! I actually do not like these big fruits. Id rather have clusters with normal mushrooms. I feel like I am decreasing potency when I slice the stems. What do you think? Some people say the bruising is oxidation of the psilocin and if thats the case cutting them up would lose potency? Then some say the general consensus is that bluing is not an indicator of potency, nor does it indicate potency loss. The reason I started cutting them is because I noticed the stump of the mushroom is never fully dry as the rest of the stem when I dry the huge ones whole so splitting them gets them to dry evenly. But wouldnt that actually help due to it drying faster and not being exposed to air as long as the whole stem would be? Hmmmm!
