topping will cause apical dominance to shift to the next highest sets of tops. the plant doesn't grow sideways, that's kind of a misconception. the plant will bush out more, as dominance is divided to multiple branches, but the branches will still grow apically.

I threw the clone out because the stem was split and hollow inside. It turned all yellow, the leafs turned into rot and it started smelling like shit so bye bye clone. Thanks for tryin to help tho

My friend gave me a seed and i put it to germinate, i hope my luck shines this time

i recently decided to take the dome off a clone (i use a clear plastic cup for the dome). It got yellow and wilted within 2 hours. smaller leaves were really dry. popped the dome back and it grew a frickin mohawk. none of my domed clones had any mold at all. the affected one is limping along, but i dont expect it to make it. kept her for curiosity more than anything.

My point here is that clones within domes seem sensitive to rapid humidity changes like that. if it's not rooted yet, it could die very quickly. i wait till the roots go crazy or the plant doesnt fit in its individual dome anymore...

very true; when cuttings are in a humid environment they need to be acclimated to drier air. you can do this by poking holes in the dome, or lifting the edge a few mm a day. same thing with shipped cuttings of other plant types, they have to get used to being dry slowly, or they dry up like cut lettuce.

could be either. i've had some that self topped (tops died), creating 8+ branches after four nodes....

clones dont need a lot of light. Leds would be a good choice

but i doubt leds could sustain it especially during floweing

what is the proper way to cut a clone

cut it at a 45 degree angle, then quickly introduce it in root hormone( is faster) or water then in the medium.
