So more on topic I was thinking earlier today as my wife was driving down the street and my 4 year old was loosing it in the back seat. That for the record all these children that people are worried about saving are WAY BIGGER impairments to peoples driving then smoking a bowl before I leave the house. Now as it happens I havn't driven in 2 years because of an accident, so thankfully I can help deal with my daughter when we are out. But not every mother has that help, and many mothers have more then one distraction strapped into the back seat. I'm not trying to be harsh, just being real.

I don't understand the people here who are saying "marijuana doesn't effect me. I can drive just fine while high". If marijuana doesn't effect you why are you smoking it in the first place?

Marijuana is a "mind alerting drug". That is why you divulge in it. By trying to lay claim to the fact that it doesn't impair the ability to drive only makes you look like more of a "pothead". You are feeding the stereotype. If you want marijuana to be accepted and respected by the general public you need to act mature while using it. Mature, responsible people don't get high and drive.

That one isn't actually mine, I don't post any pictures of easily identified things, mine is is a different color and has a roof top tent, and a custom rear bumper with mounts for 2 jerry cans and a spare tire. otherwise, pretty much the same, same winch, tires, snorkel, ARB Bumper, Lites, blah blah blah. I also have ARB air actuated locking front and rear Diffs which I regeared from 4.10 to 3.73 to compensate the H42 4 speed tranny for the extra large tires. Mine also has the original inline 6 cylinder engine, the one pictured has a Cummins Diesel. I would love to have a 12HT in the beast, but the 6 does fine because of 200 lb/ft of torque available at 800 RPM to a max of 260 at 1200 RPM.

You don't have to do much to these to make them very capable 4 wheel vehicles, they come that way stock. Just adding lockers will get you through 90% of anything you care to try. Some of them came with factory lockers, but those are rare and none came to the US. I can see why your brother only added more horsepower for more get up and go. I don't drive my cruiser on the highways much, gravel roads and terra firma mostly. Its geared low, I can get out and walk alongside it as it crawl over things.

The only bad things? Parts are expensive and getting harder to find, also the fuel mileage sucks. 14MPG lifetime average. Most people see 12, so my light foot helps.

You can check the coil by hanging onto the spark plug wire and turning over the engine. If the coil is good you should get a real nice buzz outta' it. If not the coil is either no good or there is faulty wiring or component failure such as a faulty key switch or relay etc.

I forgot...there are people in his forum that are kinda...
Do not come in contact with the high voltage anode of any ignition coil of any motor. The experience could be heart stopping. And don't hook a $10 multimeter into it either.
This should only be attempted after smoking large amounts of high grade mj

I think it's more "save the children" in terms of the stoned driver hitting them, not the child being in the back of the stoned drivers car. By that argument some could claim drunk driving is fine because there are (in their opinion) way more distractions such as children or mobile phones than just being drunk.

Mobile phones/tiredness are statistically as dangerous if not more so than moderate alcohol consumption.

It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. But we cannot use that as a justification for driving drunk, just because their are equally or more dangerous ways of driving. Just because the kid is in the backseat distracting mum, doesn't mean it's therefore fine for you to drive stoned.

My opinion will always be that if you have to be high to drive, then you shouldn't be allowed to drive.
