Minimum for your area:

2 of these http://www.bonsaihero.com/index.php/ledgrow-led-panel-65-w or the 80w versions if you want more oomph:)

OR

2 of these http://a51led.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=65&products_id=191

3 of these ^^^^ panels would give you the maximum yield/coverage in your space using an indica dom strain...

good luck
Ugh more options I'm never going to make up my damn mind haha. Could you explain the A51 lineup for me a little. I would likely get two of the 75's in this situation, but what's the deal with the XGS-190? Specifically why is it all white as opposed to following the usual spectrum? The most expensive light seems to contradict standard protocol.

My biggest issue is that they both seem like homemade set ups and for whatever reason that makes me have less faith in them. Although who am I to judge, they seem to have earned a good amount of trust around here. The Hans light seems a little more solid in appearance at least, but should I prefer one over the other?

More out of curiosity than anything: Given no price limit what would be the best lighting in a small area like that?

The xgs 190w is older than the RW line ==== the larger "coming soon" offerings in the RW spec, seems to show which direction A51 is going for now:) The top bin cree xp-e 630nm is a work horse and won't be beaten(par/watt) by any "white" source ATM.

If $$$ is no limit, for your area, the AT600L(not on the website) would be the best current led option with the #s it puts out.

I think I just saw that you had a similar grow (2'x4') with 2 RW-75's. I was a little lost though I think you came to the conclusion that it wasn't enough light? Should I be taking a different path with this perhaps?

Just gonna throw this out there.

I've been vegging with 1 RW-75 in a 2x2 space... so far I'm not impressed at all. The 23w CFL side lights I got at Lowes make my plant pray harder than this panel does. Would definitely pick up another RW-75, one don't seem to cut it.. thought I'd be OK in such a tiny space with 1 but... I dunno man! Maybe I'm just too used to seeing growth under a 400w CMH and the LED just seems slow to me. I'm about to flip to flower and turn the reds on in a few days... guess I'll see what happens!

So you used to veg with the 400cmh?? and now the rw75 in the same space(2x2)??
IMO a rw150 is for flowering a 2x2 to 2.5x2. Maybe push it some more but not too much. So I really don't see the 75 flowering that spot...but I'm surprised to hear it's not cutting it for veg.
Are you running the reds in veg?...I would...it's not going to change anything really in stature...but should add some photons...which sound like the lack of photons is the problem.
I wonder what the light measurements under it are...is it meeting the plants requirements... Has anyone seen or done a chart for the rw75?

Bingo.....max power from the beginning,I don't mess with no stupid switches :-P

You go from 400w+ cmh to 75w led expecting the same growth/flower rates?!....lol, c'mon now....

quick question, can I ask about DIY LEDs in this thread or is the discussion based on commercial units?
Their is a diy sticky for your ??'s

Not surprised at the slower growth rate compared to what he had, was actually trying to hint at it. What I am really surprised at is a cfl is getting better plant response.

Right, I used to run the 400w in the 2x2 but I put the RW-75 in there now. The 400w has been moved to a 3x3. Now, don't get me wrong... she's vegging.. but she doesn't look like my plants normally do in veg. Normally my tent is like a church, just leaves praying right to the light.. especially after I foliar.. with this RW-75 I had no praying at all in the tent until I added (3) 23w CFL side lights. It's just observations and like I said, just throwing it out there.

I have not run the reds at all yet, I always thought blue was best for tighter nodes in veg and the red would space the nodes out or cause stretch? That's why I didn't run the reds yet. That's disappointing to know that I should have been running the reds this whole damn time. I don't have any meters to do any tests or anything, just observations of the plant reacting to the LED vs CFLs.

Hopefully the 75 flowers that 2x2 area just fine with some of those 100w 2700k cree led's from HD as side lightning.

Please do not put words in my mouth! I never once stated that I expected the same growth as a 400w CMH. I'm simply providing my feedback based on my experience!

Now, I have seen you say to use full lighting on the Hans panel, but I never seen you say the same for the A51. I wish I had knew that 4 weeks ago, I'd have tuned the reds on also. So yeah I vegged with just the whites on for 4 weeks.

It's really bothering me that I should of had the reds on in veg, I just.. didn't know that.

^^^Got any links to the VIPAR "COB"? I'm 99% sure they're not using COBs but multi-chips. Colored COBs are rare. Regardless, those are some nice plants . Any more info on how you're growing them. Scrog? Hydro?

They only brought 4 of them to the UK at first but they've had a new shipment in now, here's the link http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=171403145049

No idea if it's a true COB, I asked what bulbs each of the 4 "COB's?" had since I wanted a better flowering light, here's what they have;
18 x 660nm red
6 x 630nm red
2 x 520nm green (right on the very limit of being pointless but what do I know!)
3 x 460nm blue
3 x 440nm blue

Don't know if ViparUSA on the US ebay has any yet but Jenny at customer services is quick at getting back to you.

I'm only growing one auto at a time now in nft, no scrogging just lot's of support I just can't fit any more in the tent!
There's a full growlog here https://www.autoflower.net/forums/f139/cotc-cash-crop-vipar-leds-small-tent-34247.html if you want any more info just ask or have a look through the Vipar thread on AFN.

So i guess it is a multi-chip then rather than an actual COB? This LED stuff has me kind of stumped but i really like the idea of using LEDs.

@maddmattmurdock

Just to be clear, when I say 5000k and 3000k I am talking about the color temperature in kelvins where you seem to be using it as wattage.

The CXA2520-0000-000N00Q435H is 3500K 80 CRI and so is the CXA1507-0000-000F00G20E6. All will work excellent for vegging. The unknown loose one, is it the same size as any of the others? that would help to know. You can use the four 1400 mA drivers with the four CXA3070 on pc heat sinks, but you will need to power the fans with a 12v power supply. Those 4 alone should be close to replacing one of your 600's for veg. The 3590's will need drivers and heat sinks then you can plug them in and compare color.

There are a few threads dedicated to the Cree cob on here, you should read as much as you can if you going to get in to DIY.

And there lots more.
Wow!! I really scored. The one that is unwrapped is the size and shape of the 3590. So I will plan on using the 60-1400 with the 3070. Can the 60-1050 be used to drive the 2520 or the 1507? I will use the CPU/heat sink on the 3070's,just need a power supply for fans. I will read all the links you posted and get educated. Thank you so much for the guidance. I will post when I have read the links, and again thank you.
