MMPR Grow op: Small Scale

I think its interesting to hear THE discussion of LP wannabes although I would say this is generally a forums for patients , its educational to see what they are going through and compare their struggles vs those who steamrolled their way into business via lobbyist political and or BIG connections. Its rather sad to see THE present LP landscape of those who took advantage of a very dubious situation of the transfer of harvest ready buds from two wheelers to dole out as medi bud. Personally I can't afford LP bud and would like to grow my own and am saddened that LP big wigs earn huge salaries and stock options and LP workers get barely over minimum wage. Also sad to see people like Phil Lucas of tilray who has obviously been bought off. Also sad to see that Bedrocan (my LP provider I chose) can't complete my registration in a timely fashion.

I am not, in any way, against having LPs, CCs and DGs. I also don't care if you want to grow in your back yard or your basement - I believe they should all be allowed. Unfortunately the current LPs are making a mockery of that branch of the system, but that doesn't change how I feel about the option to do so.

So what was wrong with mmar? Oh that's right....a bunch of imaginary mould, and fires and that nasty diversion to the street...for shame....what's happening now is nothing to be proud of. Wasn't it one of the LP's that suggested this fucked up system to the gov? I don't think the Feds came up with his bullshit plan on their own. They aren't smart enough for that.

I'm pretty sure the system didn't come from an LP group, but I wouldn't know because I wasn't in the meeting.
I'm not suggesting the LP system is amazing, I'm just saying that it's ridiculous to hate the players when they didn't create the game. If none of them played then there would be no supply at all until February, except illegal supply. As shitty as it is now, there was a chance it would have worked by now if the companies with money had brains to go along with their money.

My point is that if anyone should be allowed to grow the plant, then anyone should be allowed to sell it as well.
Just like I buy eggs off a farmer instead of having free range chickens in my back yard - I'm happy someone made a business out of it, even though I could get those eggs so much cheaper if I had my own damn chicken.

I totally disagree with the corporate model. I just don't think they will ever get the quality that a small scale grower can achieve. CC's with regulations to ensure no pesticides and all the other bad shit. More smaller suppliers....the field should be dotted with small time producers!

In some cases, this did happen. Now all of a sudden people see the exact same model, run by almost the exact same people, as a bad thing.

I know for a fact that some CC's got their product tested and failed.
Same with the MMAR - everyone talks shit about irradiation and the new product being terrible, but most of the "old system" product that got tested also failed. Almost all the irradiated product actually came from the MMAR. (Yes, it was probably shipped poorly and not cared for in the new facility, blah blah blah).

Which part sounds like guessing? There are some "probably" and "almost" thrown in there because I don't like to say "Everything" and "All" when it's not true. There are some exceptions and I'm not trying to say those who are educated (possibly like yourself) don't know how to grow in a clean environment and produce quality product. I'm just pointing out that all the garbage Tweed put out early on wasn't actually grown by them.
