Super cropping in Flower

Hey RIU Peps,

I was wondering when and if there is a cut-off for certain techniques.

I am 11 days into flowering with my first batch. Is it to late to apply the supercroping technique?

I don't think I really want to do anything to my 1st round. But on my clones that I have going I have topped once already and did a supercrop on half of them.

My question is when can you start and when should you stop applying these and other techniques?

Thank you in advance for your advise.

I super crop until the end of the big stretch... 2 to 3 weeks in. I've done it later on particularly stubborn colas to maintain an even canopy but don't like to.

Sent from Northern Colorado.

Also I find no need to supercrop in veg to maintain an even canopy. That's what topping is for, at least for me.

I would not recommend super cropping while in flower.
I supercrop like a beast in veg but stop 2 weeks before flower to let the stems get as beefy as possible with no stress.
Just how I do it :)

i droped somthing on mine about 4 weeks in kinda bent them pretty bad with some snaps bad ones i have no idea what happened but there all twisted and looking awsone ill post some pics within the hour

Ok great thank you. I assume you are meaning 2-3 weeks into flowering?

11 days is not too late, crop away.

NOT RECOMMENDED but i have supercropped very late in flower out of necessity with little to no problem. Sometimes one cola just decides it wants to be super tall and needs to be tamed late. I have literally pinched and bent over 4 inch long colas that were too close to the light and going to be ruined and they kept growing pointing at the wall sideways. This should only be done out of pure necessity as it could break off the cola or hermi the plant.

Just be careful not to snap or that will slow things down i super cropped one of mine and snapped one by mistake and the plant slow down big time was a week in to flower and all the others stretched like crazy but this one did f all so i just cut of the snapped steam and made some clones at of it :D sucks as it was going to be a huge cola

Thanks DN. I will be careful ;)

Im 14 days in...I super-cropped my tops yesterday to keep the canopy even......, I did them in pretty good, but they are healing fine and the other branches are going crazy!
Here are some pics of the latest:

It really depends on what your growing, most Indica will finish in 6 week's so from 2 week's into flower supercrop up to 4 week's with some white/Sativa strain's that can take 10 week's to finish..Once you've learned the plant you'll know when..

Were abouts on a plant do you supercrop? In my case a 5 week old plant from seed

From what I understand, towards the top, by the main cola. I super cropped all 3 of mine (in flower) about 2-4 inches down from the top.(ima bout 2 weks into flower, which iheard is the cut off point)
If you are only 5 weeks in, keep doing it every so often, as long as the plant doesnt stress or show signs of messing up. Now with that said I am not an experienced grower.
This is my 1st run and I am applying techniques on my second round, I am pinching and topping my clones, they are getting crazy!

On my 1st round, not only did they go back to almost normal positions (within 7-8 hrs), the lower branches def. started growing up to act as the main. Its pretty awesome, being a 1st timer to see it happen.

I may not be correct on the methods, but it sure in the hell worked! My uneven canopy is now pretty close to even! Looking at them at the end of the day, what I did it at the beginning of the day/light-on cycle, they look so much better!
