Skytards grow is never going to happen.

Save this post.
I had a space as big as that plus another room holding the toilet and tub/shower and it didnt work out. Simply not enough room for everything. Plus, if you have an exhaust fan running 24/7 the neighbors might wonder about the noise/vibration.

I fully agree.

Everybody be like "Cut some holes here, rehang a door there, run some ducting over there..." It's an apartment, she's a girl who doesn't know how to use a screwdriver. Unless she gets some serious help IRL I put my money on it not happening.

What are the penalties for growing where she lives?

LIttle bucky... When I say I own my house, I do not mean that I pay a mortgage to the bank for the next 30 years. What I mean is that I own it because I bought it for cash. And that cash was from income that I have no difficulty proving to the IRS.

I understand how the concept is difficult for you to grasp. You have to be employed with a steady income to get to where I am ;] Go ahead and suddenly buy a house from your treadmill sales... LOL!!! KKKarma...
not expensive to own a trailer in AJ though.

my first grow was in a space much smaller that i built myself. ran a 250 watter in there and grew 6 plants, would harvest 6-8 ounces every couple months.

schuylaar might want to look into buying building or retrofitting some piece of furniture in another room instead now that it think of it.

Is a grow tent not an option?

I can get a 600w HPS in a 3.3x3.3x6.6ft tent and throw 9 plants in there.

This is a picture from one of my old 400w grows with 5 plants in a smaller tent than the one mentioned above. Was 12 ounces dry.

Small setups are workable, you couldn't even smell the plants outside the tent cos of the carbon filter.

1. yes
2. yes, another closet
3. yes
Would you consider a tent and just use ducting with a strong inline fan to dump the hot air outside?

I only ask because it takes less than 10 mins to break down, then you've only plants to think about hiding.

They come in practically every shape and size, and its essentially a closed environment which means lots of control.

It is not a big enough space to grow any significant weight in weed. The dangers of you getting outed by smell, light and/or water issues might outweigh your desire to grow.
i disagree especially with perpetual clone of clone..i'm happy with personal and a "little" extra to share:wink:
Since it is a small apartment how are you going to hide light when you open and close the door to service the area?? the half bath is in the middle of the apartment surrounded by kitchen and 2 closets..opens out to the dining area
How are you going to hide the smell??

ona gel, carb scrub..same thing the pro's use
If I was going to do it I would go buy a door from Home Depot the same size as the door you have to the bathroom. I would then cut two holes in that door for ventilation. I would use that door and replace the original door when I left. The top hole is for output and the bottom one for passive intake. You could put some sort of smell masking device on the output.

However, there is no way that people will not smell it.

You are taking a huge chance.
i'm asking the forum to get ideas from the best of the best in our business..i can't be the only person to ever live in an apartment and be successful..thank you for all your ideas it really helps!

get a grow tent and a carbon filter. If you growing in a apartment. A carbon filter/fan combo is a must to have no smell outside your grow tent. I would also change the locks on my apartment... just in case somebody wanted to come in when you are not home.

Yeah. Surprise dwelling Inspections may not be legal any more, but my brother got busted with stored weight, during a pest control spray exercise in an apartment.

OTH, another friend showed me his apt grow after a while. I had been sitting next to it for years.

What I thought was a wall with a tapestry drape, behind his couch, was actually a small grow room.

Need a lock on the bathroom door and a new lock set on the apt door.

You are an unemployed drug dealer who keeps trying to convince people your hobby is your job. Every day you come here and spew anger and hate and it isnt because your real life is awesome!!!

if you're as good at picking investments as you are at picking polling theories, then

harrekin is correct..small grows are workable..it's the heat of the lamp i need to deal with.

There is plenty of space there for growing.

I would use the closet for my 24x7 veg lighting.

- run the freon lines into one adjacent closet with the compressor in there.
- Cool tube vent runs thru same hole in the wall

check and check..as luck would have it..i signed paperwork for no one to have access other than major emergency (water pipe leaking in someones apartment) and while i was gone the other day, pest control came by guess he didn't get the memo..called the locksmith and they were here in 15 minutes to install new deadbolt..

I run 8 plants at once in a hall bathroom and there is no smell. For you to say the smell is un-managable means to me, you really have very little experience in this, NX.

Also, I have black Panda plastic drapped just inside the door, for a light tight seal.

I just changed the lock to a outside key lock. When the maid comes or something, I lock the hall bathroom. If friends say anything I say I have a plumbing problem. If they start to hassle me about not fixing it. I say I'm suing a contractor and "hey, let's get stoned."

When i move into a new place I change out all the barrels in the locks for this very reason. Your options are limited in an apartment, harrekin is right get yourself a tent setup and some decent fans, create positive pressure and you'll be fine.
