No Fan Leaves, Can It Survive?

so in my past thread entitled " gone for three days, wtf" i explained returning and finding two of my tallest plants near death, lacking water. i chopped one plant early and trimmed all the buds already, this plant was showing no recovery. now, a couple days later, the remaining plant of the two is showing some recovery by raising the drooped leaves surrounding the buds. ALL fan leaves have been taken off. so the leaves that remain are curling up and back like curls, dry and burnt on the tips. i mist the leaves so they retain moisture, but my question is is whether the plant can even survive without any fan leaves, or if i should just cut it down now.

If it is showing any signs of life I would let them live. They are really tough plants and it may just take a few days for them to recover. Many guys strip off all the fan leaves when they are budding, I believe it is refered to as "lollypopping". I clip all my fan leaves as soon as they start to turn lime green. Fan leaves yellowing and falling off is a natural process during flowering. From what I have read, the plant no longer needs them and puts all it's energy into the buds.

If it's still fighting to live...let it... the small leaves will grow... In flowering leaves aren't all that big a concern...shoot you look at some of the pics and theres no leaves at all... Luck

I use to remove ALL the fan leaves from grows for years . . . bottom line, they'll be fine, just relatively small.

k thanks a lot guys. now that im seeing the one plant of the two(that were damaged the most; check my thread entiteled "gone for three days, wtf") come back to life a little bit, im wondering if it was a bid idea that i cut the other one, although the other one didnt seem to be recovering as well. i guess my real question is, when do you really dicide that your plant is dead for sure and should be picked? when it actually falls or when the leaves all look so bad. lots of questions but thanks a lot!

IF the stem starts to turn yellow or discoloured, and if it falls over, or if the bud starts to dry and wither than the plant is dead.

if the buds are beginning to wither, does that they mean they are losing potency too, or will the potency they get remain til the end. i just dont know if i should pick the other one too or let ir do its thing (sink or swim) i have other plants so its not a major loss, it would even create some room too, but it is the largest one of the whole crop and has the most potential yield, so if it can live, i definately want it to. by discoloration of the stem do you mean reddis purple, or do you mean the fading to a lighter color.
