Another Cree CXA3070 DIY Thread

Sounds like a cool idea, you should do it. I've got a couple massive sativas that I might trellis along the wall instead of topping. I was thinking that might involve some vertical heatsinks hung with galvanized wire.

I think having 6 individual lights will be a advantage with the vertical scrog,I should have my own meter by then and can play with the spacing and angles to dial it in.

good work capt....your plants are powering along nicely....

will you run lights on one side or two of the screen?

vert really allows for a heap of flexibility but i am not really convinced of it being a more productive way to grow...i am considering if throwing up a screen in the centre of my tent and place 2 onyx either side will give me a bit more room to move

I would attach the screen to the back corner poles of the tent so it would only be lit from one side. Not sure if it will be more productive but it will definitely be easier to work on,it's a pain to lay on the floor in the bottom of a 3'x3' tent to prune and adjust the plant under a screen.

Start of day 21 and they're still stretching, hope this stops soon, supercropped the DS a lot. Tremendous growth from both the Deathstar and the LSD,DS is now 36" tall. Threw in a pic from day 1.

Over due for a update, day 32 and the shorter LSD has bud flop already from the weight and the Deathstar is spreading a bit from the weight, even with her heavy stems. The LSD is leaning on the walls and some lower branches are headed for the floor,I'll need to support her pretty quick. Some slight deficiencies because they are feeding so heavy,I keep upping their PPM's and giving them calmg. I didn't expect this kind of growth because they went in so small, their only in 5 gal pots with happy frog and ocean forest 50/50.

I don't have a thread for my XGS so I'll post a pic here. My Blueberry Skunk has some worse calmag def scars than the other two because this is the first time I grew her under LED and I under estimated what a calmag glutton she is. This is day 37 with my XGS 165 (190) and I had to support her 3 days ago because she was leaning on the walls too.

I noticed insane beanstalk stretch when using the 730nm. To lazy to go back and see if you're using floods. Either way those are some biggins.

I use my 730 nm floods at lights out with all my flowering plants and haven't seen any unusual stretch. My LSD still ends up a round bush,I have a couple sativa dom strains that stretch pretty good, but they're suppose to.

They are really hungry under these lights for sure.

The male I put outside is green and healthy with no feeding. The girls under the led in same pot/soil needs to be fed every day. Light and balanced feeding every day has been working for me

Yea I feed every day too, just under estimated how much more they need. Don't think I ever had to go above 1.6 EC with my Blueberry Skunk under T5 HO and induction, I've upped it to 2.0 EC now and I think she wants more.

Does anyone have experience with a real SpinPro trimmer, I just don't have enough time to trim everything by hand anymore. I know someone that's been using them for years and swears by it,I've never seen his final product tho.

Check out the vids on YouTube - they look like they work. Not sure what kind of trich damage they cause but who cares if it saves you massive trimming!

Major bud flop when I got home tonight, even the Deathstar with her big stems was leaning on the wall. Had to put cages in and tie them to the wall and support most of the LSD branches and some of the Deathstars. I can see I'll be adding more support as they go,looks like it will be a nice yield since it's only day 33.
