I know a lot of you are going to say my phresh filter works great! If your growing hay I'm sure it dose.
I bought 2 phresh filters last winter a 6" and a 8" and tossed them in the trash in about 2 week after started using them, I would of trashed them sooner but I had to use them waiting on real filters in the mail. Why ? they did not stop enough odor for me to feel safe using them.

The phresh filters are 1.5 inch bed of RC-48 Activated Carbon from Western Australia.
They are the dustiest filter I have ever used.
They did not stop enough odor to make them usable with the strain I'm growing.

The Can Lite filters use a 2 inch carbon bed RC-12 Activated Carbon from Western Australia.
They do not make the carbon dust the phresh filters make.
They stop hard core stinky strains 100% and seem to last way longer then Active Air filters , I was going to say the phresh filters but they did not do what I would call work from day one. the phresh filter were way better than nothing at all. but if your going to buy a filter and there almost the same price why not just get one that stops odor "all of it"

I tested the 6" phresh and the 8" and would never buy phresh filters again.
Phresh blower fans work very well.

In all my grows of growing I have only used 4 brands of filters so I'm sure there are others that work very good also. This is just to try and help others save the money I through away on a substandard filter systems.

Best of luck "don't be mad"

i have a phresh filter, and i'm running both ecsd from drgts and also 4sd from rez, which is chem 4 x ecsd, and i had taken down my filter last grow as i was going to rearrange a few things, and wasn't in a rush to put it back up during veg.. i got about 3 weeks in flower, and omfg, the smell was ungodly.. i couldn't believe how bad the entire place stunk of fresh cannabis, and i mean, really, really, really bad..
well, i stopped procrastinating last week, went up and hooked up the phresh filter, which is probably pushing 2 years use easily, and instantly the smell went away.. it really was amazing, nite and day honestly, but i guess we all know ecsd and 4sd are both hay strains, so it doesn't count.. :D

Sounds like you got a defective filter or misused it.
Well if I did I got 2 defective filters or misused 2 phresh filters after more than 10 years with no real problems with active air filters other than when there not filled to the top with carbon and you have to remove the lids and put spray foam in the tops to fill the gap, that and the active air filters did not last but about 2 crops and they were heavy. never had the phresh filter problems with any other filter I've used in about 70 filters over the last 10 years.
If you like phresh and they work good for you, I'm happy for you. but I still think there shit myself.

four footers are nice, but heavy.
i must locate these light versions you speak of.
? the 8" x 40" can lite filters are not heavy, what are you talking about ? maybe you mean the active air < now there heavy, the ones I was using were like 120 pounds each " yes and that is one of the reasons I no longer use them".

sounds like you were pulling the air through the filter too fast. Fresh filters work great for me... there is some hay in there but mostly skunks rolling in garbage. Just because you failed to get it to work for you doesn't mean you have to deride everyone else... that speaks to YOUR confidence level not the other peoples gardens :/

theses are older can filters the can-fan carbon filter canadian can co...and they have had mega filters. these puppies take on lbs of dust particles over time. this adds weight to it..

thanks for heads up reminder on can-lite, as it's time to shop for replacements. and one more thing........

i don't really see what you're freaking out over.. idk if it was my joking around and talking about my experience with phresh filters or what someone else said in this thread, but for the life of me, i don't really see anything that was said that would make me wanna turn in my badge over...

Yeah I dont see what your freaking out over either apparently your the only upset person here, Remember your first post "Dont be mad"?. I run a 4 inch Phresh on the exhaust from my drying tent and it 100% eliminates the smell it was way better than the Ventech Filter I previously was using off Amazon. I also run one on a 4 inch exhaust from my flower room and I feel it is right on par with all the Can filters I have gone through. Previously always ran Cans this is my first time using Phresh, also my new Phresh filters weighed about the same as a comparable sized used Can Filter

hes got that fire that phresh cant even handle, its an angry smell, makes a bitch wanna box, or atleast take his toys to someone elses sand box. I get that he didnt have a good experience but why is the question. heHe didnt get 2 bad filters, its summer time, humidity perhaps? an 860cfm fan on a 740cfm filter? a bad seal that was addressed after the 3rd swap? Or my RIU favorite, a discounted/free filter from another company for the endorsement? Phresh is great when matched to the correct fan, Can is great, Rocky mountain is great, ventech, tallboy & ipower and such are good for shit.

humidity perhaps? ..... Phresh is great when matched to the correct fan
Bingo!

I never used Can so I can't really compare, only used white label and phresh, and the latter I got specifically because the former wasn't good enough for haze strains.
