King Klone vs. LED

What's up, RIU? I haven't been posting any journals lately but thought I'd share this one with everyone. I picked up 4 new clones from the dispensary. These are King Klone Brand "klones", 2 Blackjack and 2 Candyland.

Blackjack is a 60% Sativa, 40% Indica cross of Jack Herrer and BlackBerry Kush. It is supposed to be an 8 to 9 week flower time.

Candyland is a 75% Sativa, 25% Indica cross of GDP and Bay Platinum Cookies. It is also supposed to be an 8 to 9 week flower time.

The plan is to transplant all four into 3 gallon fabric pots within a week. Then veg out for a couple more weeks before flipping to flower. I'm sure the Candyland will need to be tied down some more than the Blackjack to keep an even canopy because it's slightly more Sativa dominant.

Right now they are about 24" under the Area 51 SGS-160 in veg mode. I'll for sure be using some combo of either the AT200 and SGS-160 or the AT200 and AT120. Ideally, I'm going to try to put all three lights in there, but downgrading from a 3'x3' to a 2'x3.5' will be pushing the limits. We'll see how that plays out.

Still rocking the CANNA Coco and Nutrients, and will be adding in some extras either in veg or bloom.

Questions are always welcome and all comments are appreciated. Hope you guys enjoy the show.

Blackjack is actually a cross between Black Domina and Jack Herer. I bought 10 seeds from Nirvana just recently so I'm curious to see how they'll turn out.

well good, it's not confusing enough already with 10,000 strains, let's start doubling up on some of them. watchin' your grow anyway, gl.
I know what you mean. So many strains , so many crosses, so many super similar strains available. It's hard to know what's what. I don't really pay too much attention. If it sounds like strains I'd like then I'm happy.

Glad to have you along for the ride. I'll be posting updates at least once a week.

Your blackjack looks really vigorous. That's a good sign. I've got some papaya from nirvana going now and the things are little monsters. 2 weeks out of germination and I have to transplant them out of beer cups already. Fast growing and extremely robust and has a dark fruity smell that's gets right into my brain. I hope my blackjack grows like that too.

The candyland looks a bit fussier, leaf tips are turning down slightly maybe because of moisture-stress.

Yeah the blackjack are really keeping up with the candyland so far. Both are getting the same nutrients. Hope it stays that way the whole grow. But I do expect more stretch out of the candyland once they go into bloom. The leaf tips aren't any concern. They were literally just transplanted right before that picture. They should perk up again.

Fed at 5ml a&b, 10 ml rhizo, and 2 ml calmag. Next batch will include silica and cannazym.

I have seen candy land flowers and they can be incredible.
Your skills, great lights, and those genetics sounds like another epic run as usual.

Been subbed since 3 min after you started this thread.
Yeah man, Candyland buds are awesome. Basically anything that comes out of GDP or King Klones I know is straight fire. This round is is all about growing some beauties. Glad to have you here as always.

Awesome, but is your blackjack the same cross? I know you have some threads up but can't seem to find them at the moment. Feel free to throw up a link here and I'll be sure to stop by and check them out.

Well, shit. Had a setback in the garden this morning. Woke up to find my dickhead cat had dug up and eaten the clones. There was about 10 gallons of coco all over the place. I chased that asshole around the house with a slipper in a rage of fury. Was wearing socks on the hardwood floors and slipped and fell on my ass. What a fucking way to wake up.

So I just picked up some replacements, 2 more BlackJack and Candyland. Put them straight into the 3 gallon pots. Lost about a week's time because of the whole fiasco. This pushes my entire schedule back by 1-2 weeks. Oh well, it is what it is.

Sorry to find that funny...but the image you painted is hilarious.

The clones from king klones are super vigorous...they will love going straight to the big pots. Like you said, not the worst thing that could have happened.
It's all good. I was heated in the moment but had a good laugh at it all after a fat bowl.

Took extra precautions locking down the plants so it doesn't happen again.

I noticed a bad ass root system on all the kk cuts. :p
Yeah they're always so lush with a nice big healthy root system. I've been getting their clones for several years now, long before they started with the new brand. Thinking about swooping some of their seeds for my collection.
