Thank you for submitting your volunteer form. The renewal of our Party starts with you. By signing up to volunteer, you have demonstrated that you are serious about becoming engaged in our Party’s future. You have asked how you can help – how you can be involved in the rebuilding of our Party. Our goal is to ensure that you can contribute in a meaningful way. You’re joining a team of extremely eager and diverse people from across the country.
We ask you to consider the four ways you can make a difference today and put those ideas to work in making the Liberal Party of Canada the Party of Canada’s future.
1. IT ALL BEGINS WITH YOUR SUPPORT
Following the success of the Ottawa 2012 – Liberal Biennial Convention, the creation of the new “Liberal Supporter” category allows you to be involved with the Liberal Party of Canada as a supporter and vote in the next leadership race. The first step in becoming a Supporter, and uniting with Liberals from across the country, is to provide us with your name and email at www.liberal.ca/supporter. You will be contacted and provided with further information once full implementation of the “Liberal Supporter” category is complete.
2. TAKE YOUR SUPPORT TO THE NEXT LEVEL – BECOME A MEMBER
Members of the Liberal Party of Canada chart our course. If you are not yet a Member, you can easily join the Party by visiting https://action.liberal.ca/en/membership. If you are already a Member, you can recruit other like-minded Canadians to do the same. Decisions that will affect the future of the Party are in the hands of our members, as they were at both the June 18, 2011 Extraordinary Convention and the Ottawa 2012 – Liberal Biennial Convention.
3. HELP TO BUILD STRONG AND HEALTHY RIDING ASSOCIATIONS
Riding Associations are where Members come together to discuss policy and strategy, and organize events with motivated, like-minded Canadians and Caucus Members from all over the country. The work that is done at the riding level is pivotal in ensuring our Party can continue to grow. Consider presenting yourself or supporting someone who would like to become a member of your local Liberal executive – a small commitment of your time that will make a big impact. The benefits of having a strong riding executive include a broader membership, healthier fundraising activity at the local level, and the eventual identification of a quality candidate in the riding. Good for you Yessica, getting your feet wet per say. If these folks are serious about supporting legalization this will be a historic event for me, the first time I'll ever contribute to a political fund for "the man" - lol If Trudeau has the balls to support this cause, he IS "the man" in my books.

Everything eventually comes back to money and that's their obvious focus with these campaigns, no doubt. But if they take this fight on and truly support it, I'm in for supporting it any way I can.

But, from my now perspective - they seem like the best bet to make sure that the Conservatives do NOT win in 2015.

So far all I have heard from the libs is they want to legalize.... nothing about how. That seems weird eh?
why are they not saying something to the effect of were going to allow sales like store fronts.... people will be allowed to grow at home..... or anything ....... has anyone heard of any statement besides "were going to legalize"?
and of course he (JT) said it in B.C. only so far.
I just don't trust any of those political assholes anymore, promise promise.... then fuck the country for their own ends.

I do not have much experience in any shape or form in Canadian politics. I know, from birth, my parents have told me that politicians lie.
Also, I know that if the liberal party makes too many specific claims about their "plan", many many people that have a lot of money, could be mad at them.
Campaigns are expensive - I doubt they want to piss rich people off just yet.
That's just me guessing though.

This is why I believe it so much bullshit ....... maybe they should talk about something to with MMJ, since it is legal in Canada, then slowly go from there...... but nothing .... not one word..... not even a whisper.

You know who has a lot of money and doesn't like MMJ? Pharmaceutical companies, all of their rich investors - who also like to donate a LOT of money to campaigns.

that really didn't say anything much about their policies concerning legalization in that "draft" oh did I say draft ?!?!?!
look at the grow at home part, they never mentioned what they would allow but only mentioned the states way and that consultation would be needed..... this is what I'm talking about it's just a history of MJ not a real "this is what were going to do"
