Air travel with a MMJ prescription?

Hello,

I'm curious on the rules of traveling in a plane with a MMJ prescription.

The airport security has taken away my lighters, liquid over 150mL, and a sweet-ass butane lighter (that had no fluid in it) in the shape of a sandal. Dicks.

I have never traveled with marijuana before on a plane, and I'm a little ascared when that time finally comes.

What do you do?

mostly depends what airport you're flying out of.
new practices now customarily insist air passengers place all marijuana in a clear ziplock lunch bag attached to the front of your shirt with a safety pin prior to passing through security.

I will definitely research, and probably even call the airport before I travel to ask specific questions. And then I might just call again, to say hi, and ask one more time.

I just checked with the edmonton airport the other day they said that you can put it in your checked bags or your carry-on just have your paper work ready and give a little extra time as if they find it some security will want to have a rcmp officer call to verify your paperwork but some will just look at it and let you go if it looks all in order me I fly out on july 7th to ottawa and on the 18th leave ottawa for toronto and then back to edmonton. will post my experience here when all said and done. if I am not in jail or tazzed to death in which case I hope you all forgive me for not posting. the security guy I talked to said it would be safer to have it in my carry-on as stuff goes missing in the the checked baggage and could be hard to replace when you get to your destination should be fun I think I will make sure to put on clean underwear that day as I can see a strip search in my near future.

oh to be able to fart on command when I was last in Ottawa we went to see the parliment building and they had to stick their hand down my babies diaper to check for weapons how I hoped for a wet shitty one but no such luck maybe if I shit my pants first they will not be so eager do they taze you for not being potty trained?

LOL left Calgary airport with no issues with my pipe and baggy.... rolling papers too..... they scanned it never said shit watch it go through the scanner.... had my ATP on me ......... even smoked a good bowl in the parking lot before I went in.

on the way back same thing nothing like they couldn't detect it or didn't give two shits but my pair of scissors man they searched for those but decided they weren't long enough to be illegal..... smoked right in front parking at St. John's airport ... expected to be approached but fuck all

never notified them of anything in advance, just like pills unless they ask don't bother.

although could have used some on the flight but that's a different story

just ensure ya have your paperwork ATP or readable LP label. They have no cause to detain you as your well within the law. Don't be an asshole if they wanna check it out, cause you know when your an ass they will intentionally delay ya outta spite.
