No, they are left over from a previous grow. May try to use them for trellis support. Cover them with plastic trellis & let the plants grow up thru them......

Did you know a guy named Ron Fitzgerald? He died in Cambodia. Classmate.
1st Battalion,3rd Brigade, 9th Infantry Division was in Cambodia from very early May through 30 June when they crossed the river back into Vietnam. There was extremely heavy combat throughout this period. American losses were very heavy, with all units relying on heavy inflow of replacements to try to maintain at least half strength in the field. In one company, of all the men who had entered Cambodia, only nine left on 30 June, the rest having been either killed or wounded and evacuated. The unit was awarded the Valorous Unit Award, equivalent to individual Silver Stars, for their combat performance in Cambodia.

Until a few years ago I never talked about Vietnam, it was too painful. When I returned, being a Vietnam vet wasn't cool, so I internalized everything, tried to ignore it, forget it. Eventually that wasn't working any longer, I started having nightmares again. So, recently (in therapy) I found out it was better to vent it out & talk about what happened & how it effected me, so I'm trying that approach now. Seems to be helping.....that and some good pot. lol
Sorry guy's, every once in a while I have a memory of something that I just have to try to vent. I know it doesn't really belong here, but this is where I spend quite a bit of time. I'll try to keep it to a minimum.....There's some stuff I just wouldn't write here.:|
Like we used to say in the Army "Home is where you dig it"....and damn it, I dig it here!...thanks
It's your thread and you can post whatever you like. I enjoy reading the stories, it's quite fascinating. I think that's the "adventure" portion of the thread

Thanks for the first hand description. Having never had experience with 'organized' violence, it is difficult to imagine. My Dad, like yourself, didn't start talking about his experiences during WW2 until he was in his 70s. He lost a lot of friends. Some things he never mentioned, although he must have been 'there'.
