Dark period temperatures too high?

Hey riu. I'm getting temps at 86 degrees during the dark period from 77-84 during lights on. Am I going to run into any problems? Humidity is low so I'm not worried about mold atm. I'm thinking I might be seeing a delay in maturity if I'm not getting it already. What do you think? :peace:

How exactly are your dark period temperatures hotter than when your lights are on? Do you turn your fans off as well when you turn your lights off?

Thanks for the replies. Grow room is in the attic. I have three fans. One large hurricane fan that runs 24 hours a day inside 3x4' grow room to maintain optimal aeration, 1x 240 cfm intake and 1x 400 cfm exhaust. Even with both the intake and exhaust on, temps are still 84-86 (and higher at times as high as 90) during the day at lights off. My intake is tapped into a soffit vent that runs beneath the asphalt shingles. I'm thinking that from about 9:30 am to 11pm (sometimes later) my intake is pulling in air that is being heated by the shingles. I'm doing a test to see if leaving the intake off for a while will change anything. Grow room is sealed though, so intake is necessary. :wall:

i believe 86 degrees is way too hot for a night cycle. if the op stated he/she is see signs of lack of growth or maturity, i would work on fixing that enviournment issue.

Thanks. My girls are finishing up. Figures I post the thread and then they start changing. It's been 10 + weeks for some and 12 weeks for my Lemon (just harvested). I was worried because the trichs had been stuck on cloudy for 2+ weeks. On Wednesday night I put my Lemon in the dark and by 36 hours she had a good 20-30% amber on her buds. I'm going to do the same with a Cheese that is at 10 weeks. The leaves had 80-90% red trichs for a while though. I guess I'll keep trying to work on the temps. Might just cut a hole in the wall to bring cold air in from the AC . Luckily my next run will be mostly Sativas. :peace:

Red Trichs? Never seen that. It is hot where I live and 90-95 is not as bad as it seems. Might not be optimum but it works.

Nice, good to know :bigjoint: Yea, the trichs were red - not brown, clear, cloudy or amber. It made the leaves look almost a rusty color. I'm pretty sure there are a few different colors that are common with trichs including, yellow, amber and red. It's a Super lemon haze grown from a hybrid/selfed seed and I know with her she gets the clear - yellow / cloudy before finally degrading to red. :peace:
