No problem lads as i already stated i can understand that ye are afraid to stand up for yourselves just said id drop the info here anyway seen as its the Irish growers thread.
Its because of people being afraid to speak up that it still remains illegal if every cannabis smoker just got up and said no together then things will chanage they couldn't lock us all up but until then activists will have their work cut out for them . I hope none of ye fall victim to the failed drug policies of our country before we get things changed .
hehehe...."too afraid to stand up for yourselves"......might want to work out a few kinks in your motivational speech's.

"if every cannabis smoker just got up and said no together then things will change"......doubt it. Hate to break it to you but those who smoke are a minority among those who vote.

"I hope none of ye fall victim to the failed drug policies of our country before we get things changed".......we appreciate everything we are doing for us.

After seeing that docu i must say i am fucking well impressed.
Those guys are under the most unbelievable stress i cant imagine how anyone can pull it off. Delicate operations on people while flying in a helicopter over a battlefield.
Some legends
Graphic as fuck but it has to be that way to properly convey the message
"War. What is it good for ? Absolutley nothing".
:peace::eyesmoke:

@Naes: I wasn't in the Marines although they are solid dudes especially the Marine Force Recon, some of the toughest training in the world.

@ghostdogalpha: Not a dark horse just came from a military family, my brother retires from the Air Force in October after 23 years, My father was in the Army for 8 years, Both my Grandfathers are retired Air Force, they have since passed, My dad's brother was in the Army, My Sister was in the Army, My younger Brother was a cop in the Navy, My moms Brother is retired Army and I have many uncles and cousins that served or are serving in all branches of the US military. With that said I was and still am against my country invading Iraq when they never did anything to the U.S. it was all based on lies and many people have died because the U.S. government lied and invaded a sovereign nation.

I was in Combat Search and Rescue as you see in the Video, very satisfying job getting to save lives instead of taking them. I was in Rescue for eight years then I went into the Army Infantry, I wanted the experience of being on the front line and that is when I got hurt. We where in a fire fight and I jumped off a roof and landed on my back with my ruck sack on which over extended my vertebrae resulting in a fractured vertebra and pushing out three discs which extremely bulge in the one of the worst area's the lower back although the neck is pretty bad as well. For over a year I got steroid shots in my spine and was on Oxycontin and Oxycodone. I know they are the same but Oxycontin is 12 hour time release so I took 10mg of Oxycodone for quick relief and 40mg of Oxycontin for long term. Needless to say I became physically dependent and in the summer of 2011 I quit cold turkey which resulted in no sleep for 5 days, severe pain, vomiting, diarrhea and I still had to go to work and work out and go on long ruck marches up to 15 miles but I couldn't do it so I was medically discharged with an honorable discharge and I get disability money and the cannabis really helps with pain, anxiety, and sleep. I take tramadol when needed and klonopin when I absolutely need it due to PTSD but I am working on that with my wife and a psycho therapist. So be careful what you wish for you just might regret it and I regret the Army everyday.

One of my favorite docs, I met those guys when they had a pre screening at Fort Bragg where I was stationed in the army. The same guy Sebastion Junger made a new documentary called Korengal which just came out. Those guys in Restrepo are well respected and seen some of the harshest combat in the entire war and most of them are fucked up physically and mentally, read the book about it its called "WAR" by Sebastion Junger.

Another good documentary is "Surviving the Cut" it's several episodes and highlights the training of Marine Force Recon, ParaRescue (my old Job), Army Rangers (all around Bad Ass's), Combat Diver Army and an AirForce one as well as other military training, no SEAL Team 6 aka DEVGRU aka Developmental Group training I think everyone has seen enough of that and it is probably on par with the British SAS and the Army Delta Force aka 1st SFOD-D training and missions they are both Tier 1 special ops units.

See if this works for you, its the final phase of extended training day for PJ's its only a few minutes.

Ha! I guess it runs in my little family my wife found a stray dog on a busy street and picked her up, a black lab with a collar but no address, and she is trolling the neighborhood she found the dog to try and find the owner and if she can't she is taking the dog to a no kill shelter and we will post pictures of the dog in the neighborhood she was found.

Ok I looked up the Author of the book and it is military, I was shocked to see all the pedophile doc's pop up when I searched for "chicken hawk"

Legend Mr jenks.
Very exciting life so far. But the pain you have now is a high price to pay for it.
My cousin from America was in the US Airforce.
He died in 9/11.

That job you had was extreme to my standards. Everyday you were tested to the limit. Not knowing what was ahead of you on an average day must of been worrying.
There is nothing more noble than helping strangers.
Big respect to you sir.

Wow @mdjenks. Much respect dude. You werent joking when you said you came from a military family. I am in contact with a lot of my 2nd gen Irish family who serve in the US forces, and I know the pride they have in doing so.

Back injuries are a bastard to deal with it. My missus has been on the Oxycodone/Oxycontin route at times, its pretty hardcore stuff, our impression is that its on a par with morphine.

I dont know what to say to you about regretting the Army move. I get the feeling the decision to join up weighs on you a lot.

Thanks for the tip on the book. As you can guess, I read a lot. Some of the guys from Restrepo went back for another tour, they felt their experience could help others.

I got into Restrepo after hearing about one of the directors, Tim Hetherington, who was a war photographer. He had an interesting view about war and the bonds that form between soldiers and how that bond changes in peace time.
