The delivery of the reload plants is complete..........
The 200gl smart pots are all filled & waiting for their new residents. I'll go back out in a few days & get a couple of pics once they have moved into their new homes. Right now they are waiting in the greenhouse.

Not yet "officially"......& you'll have to come to the bbq to find out.
I think the greenhouse beds took way more soil to fill than they originally figured. He had a second delivery....

Sorry to thread jack but need to share my research and experience. Shop lights are great for really lighting up dark places but crap for growing. That looks like either the 200 or 400 which is a lot of energy and really hot. Cfl's are way better for supplemental lighting and keeping plants in veg. A little 100 or 125 will run cool and only use 25 watts. Use the "daylight" cfl. I can light up a whole car port with just 6 cfl's.

Chickens are fun to raise. We bought young pullets off craigslist.....

I've thought about getting chickens but my neighbor had 7 chickens and a couple got caught by hawks. :'( I don't think she was diligent about putting them in their coop at night. Still a maybe.

Coyote's tore open my homeboys coop and tore all his chickens to shreds.

Do you guys have stink bugs out there yet? They're horrible here and someone was telling me that some breeds of chickens will eat them.. I was already thinking about getting a few because my kids have wanted some as pets for a few years now.

I got sme the other day man jj kinda inspired me ha,
There cool as hell,and have little personality it's funny I woulda never thought chickens would be fun haha.

But def true about predators I thought my pits were cool and I left them running around and came home to one dead had to scold them for a while hopefully that don't happen again but I don't leave them alone anymore chickens go to the coops when I'm gone

My inlaws liked to tell the story about Ernie Ford visiting the ranch on Ryer Island where they lived. Ford had come to hunt pheasants. He apparently had a great time, and stayed to talk and tell stories late into the evening.
