Si'll start of by saying hello, hi everyone, so I'm new here.well here goes nothing, hope ya'll can answer my question as I might not ask it in the correct way.so two weeks ago I ordered seeds and they arrived two days ago, I purchased Mosca Sonic fly, I have had the in damp paper towels in my closet for two days and put each seed in the paper towel into a zip lock bag, I dropped a few seeds into a cup of room temp water, now I'm just waiting for the seeds to sprout, the question I have is, once they have sprouted, what's the next step? And if soil is involved what brand of soil is the best, I'm not looking for technical answers as I'm a newb to all of this and I'm far from a scientist lol. I want the next step to be somewhat easy.i'm going to do and outdoor grow.thanks for all of your helpful tips and answers, cheers and enjoy the rest of your day.

I would put into Miracle Grow seed starter with about 30% added perlite in a solo cup. Cut holes in the bottom of the cup. Dampen soil mix first so it is dam, not wet. Put a hole in the middle about 1/2" deep with a pencil. Handle the seed carefully and put in the soil (I do root tip down), cover with soil, tap lightly. Keep it under minimal light (light one CFL).

I only use MG for this, not for the whole grow...

By far, the easiest and best thing to do is seeds straight to a starting mix. I am sorry so many newbs get caught up thinking paper towels or soaking in water are proper ways to start seeds. Seedlings/roots need to breathe, though and shouldn't be kept in a sealed environment or where there is no oxygen or gas exchange.

Sounds like you should have done a whole a lot more research and reading before you even started germinating. Your going to be running in circles if you don't catch up fast. I thought I did my research before my first grow and things caught up to me fast- I became overwhelmed which made my grow pretty hectic at times. If I was you I would start reading every chance you get. You need to think it through from germination to curing. GL

its coreect, you really should of looked into how to go before jumping in feet first, there is ALOT to learn about growing and as a newbie without any knowledge you are going to run into problems from day 1, as you just found out, i and most people stear clear of mg, get some bio bizz all mix and throw your seeds in, if leaving in water for more than 24 hours, u will probs kill your seed, the main advice is: like said put your seeds in some soil, and do research, alot of it, you sent yourself down a hard road but dont give up if all doesnt go to plan, have you not got any equipment?

I like it Ace, sometimes the best way is to just get the fuck on with it - since your growing outdoors don't be disheartened by your woeful lack of research  cause it might be simple & u might get lucky: 1) find an area with good soil, better ensure pH is 5.5 to 6.5. 2) make sure this area gets at least 6hrs of sun everyday. 3) make sure your safe to grow in this area. 4) place the seedling in moist soil (taproot facing down) 4) depending on climate water it appropriately. You now have enough time to read up on outdoor growing. For indoors your fucked! only kidding - did you prepare a grow area, have you got nutrients, lights etc if so then same principle as outdoors (plant them etc then read up) if not then just grow everything outdoors till you're prepared. How easy's that for ye?

After my seeds have sprouted I use Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil. I water my 3 gallon smart pots with 1/2 gal of water.
I don't use any nutes until the 3rd week then I start with Fox Farms Grow Big once then at 4 weeks I switch to 12/12. Usually ready to harvest 9 weeks after that. Oh and I use Fox Farms Flowering nutes every other watering after going 12/12.Use good seeds and you should have killer bud.
