Grow bible, it's a real life saver. I personally think soil is a must for beginners, it's more forgiving than hydro, though if you choose the hydro route the guys on here are shit hot at giving advice you can't go wrong!
Study first look through the forum and look at set ups. Will give you a feel for what you want. I'd start with about 2 plants to begin with then when you get a feel for it add more if you wish.
Get all the right equipment and feeds in and have a chart set up and make notes. Always good to look back on and see where you have went wrong.
Good luck mate and have fun with it
OH MY FRIEND YOU COULDNT BE WRONG. ALL THE PROBLEMS I SEE ON THIS SITE ARE DUE TO SCREWED UP SOIL RECIPES.. VERY SELDOM DOES ANYTHING GO WRONG IN HYDRO WELL I GUESS IM SAYING I AM A NEWBIE ONLY STARTED ANY OF THIS HORTICULTURE STUFF IN JANUARY .. I WILL SAY I've tried soil and hydro.. The hydro if done right there is NO ISSUES. but i gotta say as for charts let me ask people do you all have feeding charts for your newborns OH no you simply watch them and look for signs... chart says nothing and can never be duplicated considering your surroundings are always changing and your plants will require more or less depending on what that particular strain needs... Again most issues i see on THIS site are Soil growers Just sayingGrow bible, it's a real life saver.
