CO2 question

so....u dont need co2 at night...and u need co2 in the day time.... ur co2 ppm should be at what u feed your plants. they sell co2 measuring sticks that u can break and it will measure our ur ppm they cost a bit tho. if anything make ur own co2 with yeast n sugar and water. prolly make more than those bags. also if ur room or tent or whatever ur using is hot. u can use dry ice. and use the ghetto air conditioner thing and use dry ice instead of regular ice. that will cool and give out co2 into your room. if u use the yeast and sugar method and using a hose. take that outlet hose where the co2 is coming out from and put it behind an oscillating fan, if u have one to kick the co2 out everywhere. good luck.


btw. 2500 kinda high. 2000 and up is bad. u wanna run 2000 for like 1-2 hours just to suffocate pests.

Plants will create co2 at night If he's not venting at night the co2 level will go up quite a bit. if you are venting any of those sheets/co2 yeast bottle will do fuck all for you unless there's not air exchange.

That is simply bullshit, plants take in CO2 and give out O2. It is the capture of carbon that gives the building blocks for carbohydrates (sugars) which make your plant grow. Why would the plant give it back? Please read a basic plant biology book before making these uneducated statements.

Lets start again... I don't know what my levels are in the light period and dark CaretakerDad, 500 and 1000 were hypothetical because I know the levels are higher during the dark phase due to the plants giving it off and not taking it in.

The bags that give off CO2 (and other non-regulated methods) are designed to give off a certain amount of CO2 *stay with me here* If I add enough of these products to raise my daytime levels to 1500ppm it will continue to produce during the night phase and raise my levels much higher.... at what point can CO2 be a detriment. *Bows* #thatsmyquestion

I think I read somewhere that 5000ppm is harmful to humans, but I don't know about plants. I would think you wouldn't want to beyond a level that was safe for you.

All of my grow buddies who have been doing it for like 12+ years. Hydro store owners. and a persian guy who owns a few dispensaries and 2 warehouses. all have said the same thing. if a bunch of them have told me that on all occassions, they all cant be wrong. but to each their own.
what do you keep your levels at? just curious i'd like to compare and see what others do as well. im not ignorant. i'd like to see what everyone else does!

I use tnb naturals. They naturally produce c02 and it's suppose to minimize output of the gas when the lights off. Hope this helps. I just started useing it works great

My apologies, however the amount released is negligible and will not cause a significant increase in ambient CO2.

No problem but in big setups people vent the night time room into the lights on room to get more co2. When you have say two 20 lights rooms with 500-1000 plants in each on the night time ones can produce quite a bit. If both rooms are fully sealed (no air in or out) that lights off room can be used to supplement the second room.
