This takes discreetness to a whole new level

Hey everyone, just thought I'd post this solution to an issue I had.

My issue was how to keep it discreet from other members of my household, and how to keep an eye on the plants without having to open my box.

Well, with an old tablet laying around I came up with this solution. (not sure if this has been posted before)

I've mounted my tablet inside the grow box.
Skype is downloaded and set to receive calls automatically.
On my laptop I can call and see how my plants are doing, and if anything is wrong. (at a cameras glance of course)

Here's what it looks like:

I was mainly just tired of always having to open the box to check on them, and if I had to readjust them (especially with CFL)

Good and innovative use of an old tablet SHDH. For the sake of convenience and not having to check/open my veg cabinet, seed/clone tent or flower room, I use indoor cameras, kind of like beefed up web cam's. The Foscam brand has some nice cam's at reasonable prices for the features. They can pan, tilt, take snapshots (manually or automatic), record video. Main difference between these and the tablet setup is the ability to pan/tilt, you can move the camera around to inspect equipment, make sure everything's actually working. The biggest pay-back for me was when a couple of timers went on me, I was able to find out right away vs. a couple of days later, after the lights, or fans were off for 2 days ;)

Wow, sounds like quite the nifty set up :)
In the future, once I have my own place and all, I will definitely have a ton of different ideas I want to try/experiment.
Although I love smoking, this is becoming more of a hobby to me, which I'm really enjoying but at the same time dislike that I'm held back.

Also, I'll prob throw the temp meter in the cameras view. Check up on my babies while I'm out of the house :)

Good idea, that'll work. Good thing you can grow at all not having your own place, it's a great hobby, definitely one of my favourites.

Ya, I mean, it is pretty low-key. 200W CFL and all.. Might even decide to switch to 6x23watt for flower and ditch one of my plants.
I'm starting to think they aren't the same strain, and that I mixed it up with the ''freebie'' they sent. Got these seeds years ago, one might not even be an autoflower. That would explain nemo stunted growth? (because of all the random light schedules ive been giving) even though he is more developed pistol wise then bubbles.
