Snail Poop

They are always eating my feeder leaves man, and leaving little piles of frass and shit.

Gonna start bottling it up and selling as the "slowest time-release" bloom booster ever.

Fuck man they rip my fruit and veggie plants leaves to shreds.

Really tho, can I scoop all their castings up and mix in with compost or a tea? That stuff has got to have loads of nutrients in it right?

Just went through some organic soil I picked up from a friends bathtub planter. Lots of worms, and I took out lots of rocks/broke up pieces of bark, looks like some decent basic soil, good sand to clay ratio and looks like some castings too from the worms.

I think I'll throw a tomato and a pepper plant in some of the soil and see how they do.

I have been trying to research composting with slugs and there is very little research done. But what I have found, suggests that they have a digestive system very similar to earthworms and their shit is the shit!

So I was out in the garden up potting a tomato plant, and topping off everything with some worm castings. Guess who decided to join me!

SNAILS!

So I said, ok, since you want to be a part of my garden, you're going to work. They volunteered themselves when they crawled up and into my space, so I picked them up, put them in a bucket, and gave them all the leaves they had already made holes in.
I figure, if they want to eat my shit, they are going to have to work for it.

I went back out there looking for my lighter, and found three more, two full size and a one baby, guess what, in the bucket!!

Snails are great gardeners, they just need some guidance and LST! I kept saying no as they were climbing the bucket, and would pick them off the side and set them back with the leafy greens.

Eat those leaves Snails! Do your job and give me your snail poop for my compost!

Went out to have a bowl with my garden, I'm happy I did. SNAILS! Man, one tricky little slug, nibbled on some broccoli leaves, then over to another side of the garden for a whole other leaf on a whole other broccoli plant. I mean, come on man.

Couldn't find him, so I went out front and took the little baby one who was all alone. In the snail pail you go!

I was moving around a black trash bag that I am using to cover the clear top that I put on the pail to keep the snails in, they can breathe and have food, boom, there he was, that broccoli loving snail, he mustve heard his friends in the bucket and wanted to join them!

well guess what snail, get in the in the pail!!

That's 11 snails today. I'll have a farm in no time.

Can't remember the country, but snails are a delicacy to some people. You might be on to something, could be Fortune 500 shit down the road.....

If you put copper tape (home depot) around your garden or your bucket the snails won't cross it.
Sounds like I either need to get some Copper Tape or a Bigger Bucket! I just did some work in the garden and caught three more.

One tried to get out of the bucket, I just keep lst'ing them and picking them off the side of the bucket and placing them back at the bottom with all the food.

So far, it's working, they are eating the greens, and pooping a storm.
