Slavery and other items of note....

If I could own a slave I would.

Not based on race, any color would do.

They would be well treated, with the possibility or sexual attention from their loving master.

Imagine owning like 30 people and sending them all out to work at McDonald's or Walmart. That's almost $300/hr. After feeding them I'd probably down to $230/hr.

Damn I wish I could own slaves.

Start a temp agency. It's the same thing.

[See. Wasn't that simple?]

Once I found myself in need of a job. I took one for 10.25/hr through a temp agency.

That place had just started using them. I got to know a guy who had been there for about 1 year, he was hired directly by the temp agency. His starting pay was 10.50.

They only took .25 of my pay.

Now, perhaps they charged the company more than that, but it didn't hurt the workers that much.

When I temp'd I was always paid minimum £5.25 at the time, proper employees were getting £7-8 and the agency were getting £10 for my time. Felt like slavery to me...

I imagine it depends on labour laws. Here the employee is often abused by never being hired directly and, therefore, having no benefits or job security. The government fails to enforce existing laws and regulations. People work for years under this system. It's onerous.

Wow, my only experience in this was in an union plant that made water heaters.

Within 2 weeks I could do just about any job they had on the line.

I would have had benefits starting at 60 days but I didn't keep that job that long because I couldn't stand working with the union idiots.

I remember one time specifically they were discussing something and a union guy said "they couldn't build these water heaters without us."

I laughed at him and said that I had learned most of the positions on the line in two weeks. If you all went on strike they would have production back up inside of a month.

So the union guys didn't much like me either.

That plant is closed now.

We also have a Nissan plant over in Nashville. You start out through a temp agency. I know a couple of people that worked there. They were paid 14/hr starting out with full benefits from day 1, I think.

It does depend on each states labor laws. Apparently Tennessee, as a right to work state, has pretty good ones.

How does child or sexual slavery open doors ???
What would these people be doing otherwise? People sell their children into slavery to get the money to keep themselves alive. Many of these slaves are better off being owned. As opposed to living in poverty.

Oh Jeez, wait until Uncle Bucky gets a whiff of this thread, he'll be here burning the midnight oil locating racists, bigots and conservatives. Without getting paid. Like a slave.

Where can I buy a cute little Asian girl, and how much does one cost?

Life would be so much easier if we could own slaves.

We shouldn't have made it race based here in America. That's where we fucked up.

Why not start a movement of people who want to be slaves? Get in touch with the American Enterprise Institute. I'm sure they'll help you get set up. You could have a cushy job as Executive Director. This could be your ticket out of wage slavery. Don't drop the ball on this one bro.

I'll try not to though.

I've heard it said that slavery is evil.

I tend to not think that.

I think an evil person can own slaves and do evil things to them.

But slavery is no more evil than potato chips.

If you own a slave, treat it well, feed it well, allow it some time to pursue personal interests. There is nothing evil about this.

I've come to the conclusion you just like to incite controversy so I take your comments as a perverse form of comic relief.

As long as you don't drink your own cool-aid I figure you'll come to see in time how misguided you are. Most people gain insight with age and look back to realize some, if not most, of their foolishness. Unless, of course, they're sociopathic.

Try not to indulge in more 'epiphanies' in the future though. It looks a little desperate.
Just sayin'.
