Seriously.. Ive had that happen with a few. Such as our HHS (High Ho Silvers & Poppa Smurf's. I just popped a few the other day & they cracked super quick.

Seriously? 6 hours and they germinated and sprouted? Wtf.. that is a lot quicker than 2 days. What is this sorcery..

hell yeah.. It was after they started showing up above ground. They had plenty of moisture to push off the shell. So I was scratching the old noggen http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/ noggen wondering why they wasn't pushing off the shell. I tend to not plant deep, so that definitely makes since to me..

I use a bamboo skewer to make my hole. I will usually plant them around 1/4" deep maybe just a little more.. I used to have issues with the same thing. They would pop above soil and still have that damn membrane attached so I would have to wet it and wait till I could pull it off. I've pulled off a head before doing that.

I scratch with the match box.. I do the pinch before I scratch though, then off to the soil, or paper towel they go, or shot glass. lol

i soak them for a couple hours then score the seam with a knife
if i dont see them in a few days after planting ill carefully peel the dirt back and see whats going on

hell yeah.. I use my old chopsticks to stir around in the soil, just to move it around in the containers & break up the feeler roots. & add back oxygen to the soil.

I have.. It only works with a clear glass though.. I've seen it grow 4 sets of leaves under water.. Really weird.. I took it out and planted it.. Then it died. hahah
