newbie needs help

i'm on the 14th day since sowing of my first grow and i need help, i can't seem to keep my temps below 29C or RH above 33%. i have a feeling this is stunting the growth, can anyone give any advice on how they're looking and on how to control temp and humidity better? i also found 1 brown speck on leaf (pic1) and the veins look yellow to me, any ideas what it could be?, i've uploaded photo's. cheers

looks fine to me but the lighting makes it kind of hard to see, if that yellow spot progresses though it might be fungus so removing that part would be a good idea.

Yo weedy welcome to RIU.
Please turn off your led's for future photos. Seeing the color of a plant under normal light is important for a good diagnosis.

Temperatures - well you could consider having the lights off during the hottest part of the day if you're doing 18/6. Otherwise there's not really much u can do during summer besides installing some kind of a/c which is expensive and loud. Depends on your situation... u got a basement which is cooler than rest of house? move ur grow there.

Humidity - 33% is acceptable. A bit more is nice at this stage of your plant's life and you could put some cups/trays of water in the bottom of your grow space or spray the walls/floor daily. The water will evaporate and raise humidity somewhat.

That said, I think u have no serious issues at the moment. Nice looking little plants! Our beloved weed does adjust to it's environment to a certain degree and who knows maybe you got lucky and have a strain that loves high temps and low humidity... good luck bro!

pretty sure fungus is caused by other things besides humidity, correct me if im wrong though.

thanks for the all the replies guys this is my first thread o, i found another brown speck on a different plant, could it be nute splash? i have taken some different pics with leds off and some pics of my set up, i've got 5 plants (2 double berry, 2 pineapple express and 1 power africa) in 9l pots under a 300w led on 24/0, been watering them 500ml each every 2 days and have just gave them their 2nd nute feed. i have an extractor pulling air into the loft and one pulling fresh air from a room behind. i have a fan blowing over the tops of plants. i should be able to control the environment much better than i am, any ideas on how would be helpful. glad to hear that they're looking ok. i was worried that they were growing too slowly due to lack of humidity. thanks ppl, i'll keep u's posted

thanks for the reply, totally new to this, i could do with as much help as possible. should i be feeding them nutes yet? fed them twice with nutes already and they didn't seem to mind the first but i now suspect the brown dots are nute burn? when should i be starting nutes n how much to use? just ordered some canna vega, hopefully be here in the next couple of days it seems to get good reviews. any help is much apreciated, cheers bud

They look just fine. Don't sweat every little speck on your plant. It's good that you're on top of things, but those plants look healthy.

What type of soil are you using? Most brands come with enough juice to get you thru several weeks without having to feed. Small plants like that don't require much. Don't over/under water and you'll be fine.

hi thanks for the reply, i'm using bowers multi-purpose compost. i just don't wanna fook it up, i've already put 2 auto's in the same tent as 3 non auto's and also just realised how poor the yields are on autos. won't make that mistake again, i hope!

yeah they look fine, and as for low yielding autos, unfortunately the market is full of strains that grow one singular bud, theres a select few that have good yielding probably sativa dominant parents with a longer flower time, but the most people get out of that is probably around 2 zips. who knows, new strains come out everyday, more people are trying to make ruderalis genes usable while 12/12 from seed seems to work better for most, but there will probably come a day that an auto surpasses any yield from 12/12 from seed.

You can schedule your lights to operate at night when its cooler instead of during the day when its warmer.. Better ventilation, or air conditioning. If you lower your temps, the rH will rise.

The spots do look like a mild case of nute burn. I think everyone over does it the first grow. I grow hydroponically, so I have to start nutes immediately. In soil, I think its like 2-3 weeks, but the soil you start with would be the deciding factor.

You're using straight compost? Did you add any aeration bits (perlite, rice hulls, pumice,etc)? The plants look healthy now, but if you're using just compost with no aeration you will starve the roots of oxygen. Compost compacts and becomes very muddy. I'd consider making 1/3 of your mix compost when you transplant, the other third would be soil/coco coir, and the other 1/3 aeration material.

If you are really worried about temps and humidity and want an easy cheap fix check a video for a DIY swamp cooler(evap cooler). It's a type of a/c unit for areas with high heat and low humidity.

*sigh* .................you are not letting the root zone dry out, and they are stunted. also over-fed. plants that size don't need fertilizer yet. and......the fan blowing air into your grow has brought in some mites, I do believe. intake should always be passive, imo. check bottom of those spotted leaves for tiny moving specks.

lol well since youre an expert on all these subjects, isnt there a type of bacterial infection caused by wet soil on leaves? sorry if any of this sounds like "playing" with you, just asking a simple question.
