Hello Guys,

Got a question for you guys hope you can help me out if possible.

1.) I'm going to be putting my autos on 18/6 what is the best time to have the light off for autos?

I'm a little confused by your question. You said you will have the lights on 18/6 but you're wondering what time you should turn the lights off? Well... for six hours of course.

When you start your lights is up to you and your schedule.

I understand the question depend where u growing if u can have total dsrkness in ur grow room during the day and ur hot climate the 6 hours during the hottest part of the day id recommend if u have daylight in any form entering grow room then the darkest hours of the day would be best its what suits u the best hope this helped ive just started my first auto grow its in journals if u wanna look

I didn't think autos needed a dark period? Can't you just grow them 24/0?

Doesnt matter just set the timer to 18/6 20/4 or 24/0 people have had good results with all. Autos dont care about darkness or light leaks theyre gonna flower regardless, find what works best for u and your setup and stick to that

yes.. It can be done like that. I would sit mine in under CFL'S for the night hours. Then during the day she got a dose of LED'S/HPS. won best overall Sativa for the Indoor solo cup contest

Mid solo contest I had dropped my lighting down to 12/12 & honestly didn't see that much difference. Although I am sure I would've pulled a tad more ( a joint or 2), she was finished producing. I have ran the Blue Mammoth (auto) & now that 1 did great under 24/24 & picked up heavy flowering under 18/06.

If u want scrawny little buds 12/12 will work

I personally have no experience growing an auto at 12/12 but from what ive read most people who have done so were dissapointed with the end results

My auto is growing on 18/6. She's a bit stretchy and thin. Next time I'm going 20/4. Best of luck!

Mines at 20/4 and shes a crazy little bush, creepin up on 4 weeks, just tied her down the other day . Shes a skunk automatic from white label

Stretchy plants mean ur lights to far away and if u reaseach autos 99% of pro auto grower say 18/6 and when somebody asks a question u try to answer it not just state the obvious and light leeks during darkness can cause hermies man it freaks ur plant out but ea to there own

Debatable, i believe hermies are genetic, ive stressed the living shit out of plants n didnt hermie for example on my first grow i topped, fucked up lst and ripped the main stem down the middle n taped it back up, transplanted twice in 2 weeks, had spider mites, had lights fall on it, all on the same plant from bagseed and it didnt hermie, didnt grow too big, but didnt hermie.

Its a proven fact mate u was just lucky lol well lucky and lota bad luck omg all plants have the genetics to go hermie they just wanna reproduce I also ripped main stem lol on my last grow I used honey in middle and tapped it but it was buddin real real nice then bang had real estate inspection I shut down light for 4 hours and next week had bannanas I was pretty upset I split trying hammer the screen back on after I did some trimming iam small on room
