Yield increasing techniques

Swift, I have had plants stay bright green all through their flowering until harvest. I think it is mostly the breed, Sativa crosses seem to stay green longer, they just need the Nitrogen along with the phosphate and potash. One plant I remember fondly had very green leaves right up to harvest and it was my favorite fishing smoke. It was a Sativa Indica cross that came from Hawaii and the taste and high were phenomenol a great mix of cerebral and physical, not so physical to be debilitating and just strong enough cerebrally to stimulate thought but not enough to make one stupid.

Yeah, you can do it a bunch....just stop before it starts to flower...

I'm gonna try mainlining this year. I would usually supercrop, but mainlining seems less stressful and less maintenance.

Indeed right you are good sir. its all in the genetics. these genetics pull every last drop of nutrition for calyx formation/resin production from the fan's in the last month or so. the 2 smaller plants also have a faster autoflowering gene, as opposed to the green bush.

Yeah when I was LSTing them...lost one branch and taped the other,I think it will be fine...I'm too damn rough with them I guess....
Are you doing 9,18 or 36 tops?

Some 18s probably. Were the plants young when you snapped the branch. Or were the stems already hardening?

Their about 6-8 weeks old.....kinda hard i guess....I didn't have the room to tie them down inside...
I'm just going to take my time from now on...
One of mine has 18 growing tops right now...At what point is it going to hurt yield? I think I will try 72 tops...their just in 18 gallon totes..so that might be overkill...I never grow from seed and this symmetrical shit is weird....

Pretty cool though huh? So uniform. I might try a couple 36 top plants over winter for some good hash

TMB's top 10 techniques to increased yields.

1) Use good genetics/strains
2) Start early, I start seeds the 1st week of March
3) Prepare soil EARLY with good stuff in there for them to eat. Plenty of soil recipes on RIU so do your research.
4) Choose area with PLENTY of direct sun for many hours.
5) Dig big holes, or use large Smart pots. More roots = more plant
6) I DO NOT top, or FIM plants, I super crop. Just pinch and bend.
7) I do a large outdoor SCROG, bending and tucking tops through wire through veg cycle.
#8 Take all necessary precautions from Rippers, "the man", animals and any and all threats to your garden.
9) Tell nobody
10) Stay off "on -line" grow sites, to many "know it all's".......LOL.......Joke!

i dont think their is a point where your hurting yield.... just instead of having 2-4 bomb ass colas you would have18 smaller budsights. basicly what im trying to say is that your just re-distrubuting your plants energy or as its called in the science world..getting rid of atypical dominance, BUT that being said its still all about genetics.

Don't worry if you break a stem or branch. Just don't flower it the same week. This is after harvest. I broke it on the move from Veg room to flower Room. Healed up fine and still harvested nicely.

i dont think their is a point where your hurting yield.... just instead of having 2-4 bomb ass colas you would have18 smaller budsights. basicly what im trying to say is that your just re-distrubuting your plants energy or as its called in the science world..getting rid of atypical tops dominance, BUT that being said its still all about genetics.

Yeah I taped them right away.....works about half the time from my experience... depending on how bad the break is.....

Breaking stems can actually make them thicker. I tie them down and kind of mainline them, but never really top it, so they grow in a bush style. A very uneven bush
Some lesions on the plant can benefit it, because of the way it heals itself.

i see your point, wouldnt 144tops only be achieved with a massive scrog?

Not really....With mainlining you can pick the amount of tops...2,4,8,16,32,64,128,256........every time you top a shoot,two will replace it...
If you had some big pots I'd bet 128 tops would work out well...but idk in my 18 gallons...we will find out this summer...
