Need Some Suggestions on Set-Up (Thanks)

Anyone got any advice on the above systems and which might be my best bet? Also another question. I plan on getting one of the really good filters obviously because I live in an apartment. I was thinking where i could run my exhuast. I know that its gonna be alot of heat so i dont really want to just run it into my house because it gets hot here during the summer (90-100 degress F average for 3+ months with lows at night in mid to upper 70's). Therefor my a/c already has its work cut out and can barely keep it to a 70 degree mark that i like it at anyways. Do you think i could somehow run it to my bathroom exhaust fan or possibly even out my window but sealed somehow? I would be ok with the window option because it is not visible to anyone from the outside because of a fence. But if i cant find a way to run it out that window AND seal it, it would be just like running the exhaust straight into the apartment. Thanks for any and all ideas.

I would just place your tent next to a Window and run the exhaust out of it take a cardboard box and fit it in the window get a tight seal and cut a hole for the exhaust youll want your filter in the tent so the air sucks trough the filtet then passes trough a air cooled hood and then out the window just make sure you have a intske to get fresh cool air into the tent remember intake at the bottom of the tent

Wouldn't it be better to do the ducting from the hood then to filter and then on outside tent? I feel like if i do from the filter first and then through the hood that air inside the hood would have the smell.
Edit: Also do you think i should go with a 400w or 600w? I think im going to stick to HID. Its going to be a 2x4 tent and I plan on running 4 plants at a time.

I dont think it matters how it's set up as long as the filter is inside the air will be good

I have a 600 in a 4×4 I think your good to go 600 as long as you can keep it cool

Oh ok thanks man. I kinda needed an idea about what people put in each size tent. I think I will stick with a 600 or 2 400's. Although the 600 itself would probably be easiest to keep it cool. I found this chart from GrowLab that is kinda neat. Thought I would share it here.

50 watts/sq ft. 2x4 = 8 sq ft = 400watts. I would get the 600 dimmable with a cool tube. I bought that setup on amazon for like $145 and it came with hps & mh bulbs and rope ratchets. as far as everything else, its hard to beat the prices at www.plantlightinghydroponics.com You can get a 6" fan and filter for around $125

I was looking into getting the phresh filter only problem is i don't want to pay for the 6by16in filter when I would be good with a 6by12in(they dont make) or a 4by12in. Problem is all the lighting systems I have looked at have a 6in duct fitting. Anyone else ran into this issue and if so is there a way around it?

I also recommend HTG especially if you have one in your town or close by. 400W should be enough in a tent that size.

A 40% FFOF, 40% Happy Frog, 15% Perlite and the ramaining 5% a mixture of bone meal/bloodmeal/worm castings/dolomite lime will get you through 30 days without adding nutrients. I like General Organics GO-Box after that although you can easily get away with just teas the remainder of the way. Just depends on your veg length.

CFL side lighting is OK, as is vertically hung T-5's in each corner.

Happy growing !!!!!!

Thanks!
There is no local HTG but I will be ordering some items from them. I planned on growing with a 75% FFOF and 25% Perlite but maybe I will take your idea into consideration. The 5% mixture you are speaking of I thought was already in FFOF. I will take a look at the happy frog as I have not looked at that yet. I will probably use the CFL's to start and once it pops soil I will be switching to cfl + MH. The first run I will be doing autos so veg length is really up to the girls. I will be doing a 20/4 schedule the entire way through. Some ppl say to do 24/0 and some say to do 18/6 but I believe in giving the plant some darkness to help it re-charge. I am shooting for anywhere from 1-1.5oz per plant. Hopefully that is achievable. After my first grow I hope to have enough money to buy a smaller tent to veg in as well so I can get a cycle going. That is when I will start with photo period plants.
