Hps vs cfl

Where do u live that a zip is $350-$400? Lol i need to move there, id make a killing. But back to ur question, ive grown with cfls for a few years now, its no question that an hps system is better than cfls when it comes to light penetration but just like u i have very limited grow space, my tent is only 30"x18"x36". But i lst and surround my babys in cfls and i get some pretty impressive yields, nice dense frosty nuggs, honestly just do what works for you and makes u and ur ladys happy. An hps system in my tent would turn it into an E Z bake oven lol

Yeah i might just see what happens with this first grow and decise afterwards what i wanna do but the cfl is probly ganna win just bcoz it is cheaper

I might also add that cooling will be abot of an issue with an hps unit as im only using a small grow box and only have 2 small fans on it 1 for intake and 1 for exhaust

CFLs put out plenty of heat, you just don't hear about it because those using CFLs seldom use more than 100-200 watts and CFLs spread the heat out over a larger area.

im growing these, they have been under cfl their whole life im on week 5 of flower they wher started feb,8 and are lookin pretty good, at least i think so for my first grow

Thanx for that man i like to see progress pics of cfl grows. And thats all im looking for is some good frost nugs even if the yeild isnt as good as hps as long as it yeilds enough to make me happy but as we all would id prefer a shit load lol

It's good that you listed the cost of hps in your location.
With that said. Hell yeah go with the 2 150w cfls and look down the road to upgrade!

I got annoyed at how much space i loose out on with the old car window reflector shiel thing and spent a good 2 hours aloy taping the bastard up and not to mention it looks cooler. I wonder if the air will circulate any better
