Hi all, Im thinking of a 6 plant indoor grow and wanted some opinions on what lights to use.. HPS, LED etc..
Soil grow, 4-6 m squared space in a closet/wardrobe, thinking of 600w lights. Growing in uk.
Thanks in advance for feedback
Depends on one major factor, can you handle heat? If you are able to handle extra heat in your grow room an HPS is the way to go, there cheap and very effective. If you can't deal with the heat your gonna have to go with an LED... Problem is its definitely gonna cost you a pretty penny.
i m waiting for my area 51 rw 75 to arrive, i think for LED its really ur getting what u paid for. The cheap ones DO work, as lots of people had good result using them, but the more expensive ones usually have better penetration and they last a lot longer.
But if he bought an MH, wouldn't he simply have to switch over to an HPS when he began flowering to get the added red spectrum he would need? Using an MH during flowering would definitely diminish the OP's yield.
To the OP: If you can afford to use a MH during vegetative and an HPS during flowering then that would be great! MH lights tend to keep the nodes nice and tight, while HPS lights mimic autumn lighting which causes plants to respond by producing a greater harvest.
