First time growing, how am I doing?

I live in Queensland, Australia and this is my first grow project, plants are 48 days old and have only been giving them tap water every 3-5 days. And before anyone says anything about the pots I am buying bigger ones some time very soon as I just havent gotten around to it yet. They've only been getting sunlight and have been in my backyard the whole time. What do you guys think? And im curious as to what the small white hair thingys are in one of the photos. Also sorry for bad quality, my iPhone cam era has alot of grungy shit inside the lens

The white things are preflowers...and I don't know if its the angle you took the last pic or light interference or what but the bottom leaves of the plant on the far right look yellow. If so it needs some fertilizer. If not, good job!

They are a little yellow but I think its because its been raining a bit lately, it rained quite heavy last week and they got just about no sun for 2 days and they went yellow then when they started to get some sun they went a nice green again, I might try some fertilizer just to be safe, thanks

Not a problem. If it starts at the bottom and works its way up, its usually a nitrogen deficiency.

Not bad looking for tap water and small pots.
Do pot up soon though. It's probably due.
If any of them are showing pollen sacks instead of the preflowers they be male, and best got rid of unless you're planning on gathering seed for the next grow...

So males dont produce any bud at all?

No bud, just pollen that will fertilise your female flower's buds and reduce potency . The leaf is smokable from male and female plants, but it's not really worth it apart from as a tobacco substitute.
Better to concentrate on your girls I recon.

What I would do is , buy some isopropyl and do some hash with them , gets you high without going through a lot of leaf smoke. And second best thing is to dry cure leaves as same as you do with buds and they wont harm your lungs so much.
