So has any one heard or used this stuff yet....I took it some oil I made to the dispensary that I winterized and filtered very well and hes all ya I can taste the butane...then had me dab his stuff made with this mz12 methane shit and it sizzled and popped a lil bit... hes all my stuff taste like nothing and is so smooth... I was trying to explain that theres still impurities in ur oil that you can remove but he wouldnt listen.....does co2 oil require winterizing?

you should have told him he is clearly a moron and that when some one puts bho and dissolves it in alcoholeven if it is not to winterize it will still remove all of the butane

Soooo, we received a case of the stuff to test from Dr Z and I have a can at the lab to see what is in it first. Thank you Dr Z for the freeby!

The Methane call out is miss direction, in an attempt to maintain proprietary secrets. You can't liquify Methane at the the temperatures and pressures used.

It calls out what is ostensibly Dimethylether, or something very close to it's boiling point and molecular weight, and CO2, plus mentions a bitterant added to discourage huffing. CO2 has a sharp sour smell in concentration, so it may be the bitterant, we will just have to wait and see.

If it is just Dimethylether and CO2, it is ostensibly save to use for extraction, but there is no way to know without testing and this product has come to us with enough disinformation and misinformation, that I will wait for the test results before doing extraction with it.

I've asked for a GC MS and and HPLC MS analysis, which will ostensibly cut to the chase.

Arent you grey wolf on icmag? And thats what Im saying wait for research into the stuff before you go gun-ho for it ....I felt the dispensary owner just jumping for it shows he doesnt know to much about concentrates and extracts

Ummmmm, yes and no. The tattered old grey haired American Gray Wolf on IC Mag, and just Graywolf on other actually.

Named after the indigenous native American Gray Wolf that my Native American ancestors named our Wa Ya clan after. Like the one in the news named Or-7 and roaming all over Oregon and Northern California. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/03/19/or-7-wolf-oregon-trek_n_4990732.html

Yup, I always recommend looking before leaping. Some of my hesitation in my dotage is experience from having leaped first. Ready, fire, aim, or fire, aim, ready......

What would u say is the best way to go in and tell him my winterized shit is prob some of the cleanest you could get it just grinds my gears that they say the can taste tane and theirs is better when they dont even know what winterizing is

At times, when co2 is used for potency, low pressure is best and easily purified. At low pressures between 800-1,200psi, there may be some waxy substrate in the extract. It bothers me none and feels like top note is exchanged for purity. Not worth it IMO. You must dilute 3:1 w ethanol then activated charcoal is added to perform a hot gravity filtration,, then filtered through a sinister funnel or a column of diatomaceous earth, cooled to -52 degrees and held there for 48hrs to be filtered once more cold so the wax can be filtered out. Ethanol is expensive and food grade moonshine is best. Not worth all the effort if instructions are followed closely and substitutions are suitable where ever used. ZHO uses things I swear by like Freon. It's why they help legitimize what I am preaching as Skunkfarms and I are looking for suitable butane replacements. I love trichloroethane to extract, and is an ingredient used by MZ12 or whatever there called. And that's Ethane bro.

Roflmao, because that cat post what was in Mz12, I seen 2 chemicals which were classified cfc's, but non-toxic and non-flammable. Methyl Chloroform is the biz. You guys just don't know. If blasting mz12, get good ventilation and distill the solvent for reuse. Residues will leave a funk. If trapped when oil cools, it will lock in the firm oil and when you dab under purged methyl chloroform like what's used in mz12, it's headache city. When I first used it, the headache from lack of ventilation was sick. So much that I not care for the sweet smell it has. But as far as rich extract w cannabinoids and flavor, the potentials are huge. So I created threads like R-113, Trichloroethane, Freon 142, Static Null, and Trifluorotrichloroethane to have him talk smack about the solvents I choose, and I go under his posting about mz12 and he's using wtf I get threads banned for recommending use. It was humiliating for them thats certain. But it not matter what co-solvent is used more than it is to get the residues purged out. Truth is, none of this stuff is hard to purge, but it's real easy to leave residues whatever solvent one decides to use.

Vacuum purge operating the vent valve often and raising the temp ensures it's going to cleanly evaporate. The vent valve allows air in to dilute the ovens area of built up solvents then back to vacuum again until there isn't any activity happening. The VWR has sick ass temperature capabilities not increasing or decreasing at set temperatures ranging up to 200C. Its also very efficient as to run the vacuum very little, but that parallel connection should be tried in series vs running both heads side by side, feed one head into the other. I may need a bigger rotary vane pump if that can't get more vacuum pulled. But I was told, is to be happy w what I got since the heating oven makes it harder to get vacuum to lower beyond what I had got, but it works well at this setting for purging trichloroethane, aka methyl chloroform.IMG_20140329_140830.jpg

Dannoo, There should only be an acceptable sizzle from HONEY OIL, which is a product of CO2 and Ethanol. I'm not talking that denatured shit either, only food grade. Since the residues from ethanol are largely water, it makes it okay to have a moisture content <15%wt.wt. It is desired for top note and a slightly heavier yield vs 0 water weight. The sizzle is only water and universally accepted as okay. Any chemical residues left from ethane or chloroform is highly frowned upon and that is under purged at it's textbook definition. Even if the residues aren't funky as chloroform is sweet smelling and almost pleasant, don't be fooled. The shit is wicked nasty and wouldn't want vapors of methyl chloroform accompanying my dab. I said it before, but it's not really a matter of what solvent is used, but how well any solvent is removed is of more importance. EtOH doesn't attach itself to the extract as well as say butane. Easier to rid of and residues from food grade shit is okay. Not so w any other solvent than ethanol or water used as a SCF. In this area, it's easy to under purge in efforts to keep it yellow, but it's really red oil you want and anyone w experience in the art is well aware of the misconception. Bright orange to red is what is truly the most potent and perhaps the best tasting since the terps are well preserved and in tacked. Yellow is a flavanoid extract, which is taken from Greek and means YELLOW. They should be in a fine extract, but not soley what defines top shelf. Perhaps the biggest misconception around, but is easily remedied w the addition of hexane in small amounts. Butane or isobutane doesn't extract terpinoids, just flavanoids and some cannabinoids, but a small amount of cannabinoids.

You mean you like my baby horse? It is because of her, these advancements and cures for the high industry prices were made possible. So it's a beautiful thing. My pride and joy prior to the discoveries I had stumbled upon along the way.
